I hope you don't find this post nauseating or a form of gloating. It is not my intention. Hold your breath while you read, it may be worth it.
Some months ago (I think in late July or early August), I posted a thread about working out. Many of you kind folks were more than happy to help me out with some great advice and your perspectives. I appreciated them all and much of what you have said has given me results.
Now I've been at it for 15 weeks at the same rec center gym (Bonsor). I hit every major muscle group once a week, for example, I do chest every Monday. Since then the chest has increased a full 2 inches (measured unpumped). I keep having to tighten my belt more and more as I dress for work. The other day I went shopping for jeans and was shocked I dropped 3 waist sizes to find a proper fit. It is now what it was when I was 20 years old, and that was quite some time ago. I never thought I would ever revisit that time of my life again, but here I am at least physically. I went from chubby guy with a potbelly to body of an amateur gymnast with a 6-pack, and the reaction from females is not subtle. Just imagine how you react to a girl with big C/D breasts and slim body, and you'll know what I mean. My staying power during sex is now way up from before too. For example, today I was able to have BBFS with my SO for 35 minutes of just intercourse without breaks, constant motion. Before I would only last 5 or 10 minutes max of constant intercourse motion.
I am posting this because I'm so proud of what I have been able to achieve, and also because it's the best thing I've ever done for myself that I want to share it with all of you and hope you too can achieve the same results. There have been so many benefits from just this one thing I am doing, it's truly changed my life. I walk with confidence, feel intimidating to others, bolder with women, know that I attract them, get obvious preferential treatment from SPs and waitresses and coffee shop girls and everyday females I encounter, my skin has cleared up, I'm now a mini-powerhouse in bed, and seem to have boundless energy. Only the weak talk endlessly about empowerment, while the strong are already there. I feel better now than when I was 20. You all should try it and I hope to inspire you.
This is not an ends in itself, but a journey. Almost all my sets are drop-sets, because it's the only thing my body responds to. I spent 3 hours per session when doing chest (and minor muscles), but most of that time is spent resting. My rest periods are 4 to 8 minutes between sets. Total reps per exercise may sum to about 30-50. Total hours in the gym per week is 6, broken into 2 sessions. I eat like crazy without worrying about weight gain, I even eat big meals just before bed time knowing my muscles are craving all the fuel they can get. I still probably don't eat enough. I take whey protein, creatine, glutamine, and all my vitamins. It costs me about $150 in supplements a month. I hope I'm doing everything right.
Yet while increasing muscle mass, I am troubled that I still am losing weight (albeit slowly now). It's weird but I suppose this is what should happen. I've made great contacts at Reflex Nutrition in Lougheed Mall, who have been a good source of information. The other day at the weight room someone offered me something called "MT1", a steroid in pill form. I am troubled with wanting more faster, yet know what is the right thing to do. I worry about the future, whether I am close to a plateau in terms of progress - can this kind of phenomenal change go on forever?
What are your experiences? What are your thoughts?
