As I start to learn about all the boards across Canada and am doing some research planning trips to both Montreal and Vancouver, I have come across something that makes no sense to me.
The prices in Victoria British Columbia and Vancouver British Columbia are quite different. Judging from reviews and web sites and general discussion a lot of veteran pooners who post to boards all agree that Victoria British Columbia has better choice and services than Vancouver British Columbia. So why is prices higher in Vancouver?
I think Montreal is sounding great and I will see for myself very soon. Now I am thinking Victoria seems like as good as Montreal.
I am thinking of changing my holiday plan for Vancouver to include Victoria now for sure.
For those who may know the reason for the mystery, what are your thoughts? Is the industry in Vancouver better organized like a union or something and they collude on pricing? Is there more effective advertising using boards like Perb to push the pricings higher? If the selection and services in Vancouver were way better this would make some sense but the opposite is apparently true (I don't know, my Vancouver experiences have not been that great but they are limited and I have not had Victoria experiences).
