Totally. I've wondered many times if it wouldn't be smarter for me to move back to montreal since I have tried and had no problem getting work at my Vancouver rate. But the difference in cost of living is HUGE. I mean HUGE. The difference in how much I would actually make is also huge.. But whatever.. I'm here
Just a side note.. Yes, you can find Montreal agencies charging only $160/hr but that hour is 45 minutes as the girls have to shower and get ready because they're booked back to back. Plus don't expect incall because there are very few that offer it and even fewer reputable ones.. That's fine for out of towners who are staying at a hotel no matter what, but for locals that means room rental costs added to that $160/hr.. which isn't much different from rates in Vancouver where there are plenty of SP's and agencies who offer incall..
Also there are still higher end agencies who charge around $300/hr. Independants charge the same and up to $400-$500 - and a lot of them even have minimum 2hrs (or more) requirement for bookings..
IMHO There isn't
that much of a difference in prices if you look at all of it.
Do I think you get more value for your money though?..
In most cases, Yes, I think you do. It's just a very different attitude.
