The first POTUS George Washington had slaves....that being said that has nothing to do with the Declaration of Independance and the subsequent documents drawn up and legislated by USA as a nation when they achieved independance from England...such as the Constitution.About 30% of the signers of the Declaration of Independence owned slaves.

I have worked in the USA and have developed many long lasting friendships. I think its a low blow to throw rotten tomatoes at any country while celebrating their Independence. I would be really offended if they did the same to us on July 1st.

I agree, in vegas atm. Wether i am at a poker table, swimming pool, or club, when people find out i am a canadian from vancouver. They always have positive things to say about canada and vancouver.I love the American people as they have always been nothing but polite and friendly to me on my visits. Good thread Bart! :thumb:
