And why?

So far I have found nowhere here that is really great. Avoid Hudson's - small wings - that's all I can offer for my part.

Perhaps "chicken wings" is a euphism or code word that no one else uses. It's always nice to have your own secret language.

for shit's sake, topic like this belongs in the General Discussion section, not the Review section. Follow spermie's example and keep it it in the correct section.

Wow relax dude. Get a hooker to help you relieve some stress. So I misplaced the post - does it really burn your crotch that much?? I would suggest that you come across as neither funny nor fun.

Guess who this is, even though he doesn't have 4,266 restaurant reviews posted.
If you like sushi you need to try Maki Maki on....hmmmm.....101 or 102 street. Just off Whyte, East of the tracks, across the street from Wunderbar. Best sushi I have had in Edmonton to date.

I am surprised, though, that you like Chicago Deep Dish. I find their pizza to be bland and cardboard-y. No accounting for, eh?

Anyhow, maybe a mod could move this thread to the proper forum??

Thanks for the review FloridaGuy! What I want to know is did she spread her wings? Did she express a "fear of flying" and was she hawt and spicy or just vanilla??

Chicago is really good, especially when you consider its 2.50 a slice and one slice is enough for a snack and two is going to fill you up.
The pizza has always been fresh and hot when I've hit it late at night.
Its not in the same category as a sit down and dine is restaurants pizza, but its tasty cheesy pizza goodness. Plus I like ham and pineapple which they always have ready.

Maki Maki.

WORST.

SUSHI.

EVER.
You obviously had a bad experience there that has tainted you. I would give it a second chance - I moved here from Canada's sushi heaven (North Toronto - although I imagine Vancouver would have some damned good sushi as well), and so far Maki Maki is the best I have found in Edmonton.

Vanc is a hit and miss too for sushi but that is all part of the dining experience. I hit some great spots on Robson and downtown Vanc including Chinatown. There is a spot in Whiterock that has been given some good koodos for their menu.

But wait...... I think the question was Wings, I just gobbled some down at the Beer Hunter and they were spectacular. They were huge, not your cheap Chili's style Sparrow wings.

Yayaya, wrong forum. Get over it.

Well I hate to say it, 'cause I'm not generally a fan of this place, but Boston Pizza has outstanding wings. They are baked, not deep fried, and they don't batter them. So you are getting a pure wing, and cooked as healthily as chicken wings can be cooked. I get mine plain (mild), meaning no sauce, and they are delicious. And, relatively healthy. I haven't tried them with sauce. Best I have had in Edmonton, so far.

Found another spot. Brooklyn's Lounge in the deep south, 34th Avenue at 92nd Street. Outstanding wings. Baked, no batter. Delicious. I had the lemon pepper - they look odd, kind of like the chicken is flaking off the bone, and its weird. Then you realize - its because its real chicken, baked the way grandma would bake chicken, with the meat flaking off the bone. Fuck are they good. They are as close to an all-natural chicken wing as you are likely to find - the meat just falls off the bone. They look a bit small but are priced accordingly ($9/dozen, $16/ two dozen), and since they are pure meat, they likely have as much meat as a larger-looking, breaded wing would contain. If I had to pick one chicken wing to eat for the rest of my life, it would be Brooklyn's. Lemon pepper. And I went there on a whim - saw it, did a u-turn, and had lunch there, never having heard of the place before. Wings are 10 cents on Wednesdays, and the pints are priced at $4.29, a damned good deal in E-town.
