Found another spot. Brooklyn's Lounge in the deep south, 34th Avenue at 92nd Street. Outstanding wings. Baked, no batter. Delicious. I had the lemon pepper - they look odd, kind of like the chicken is flaking off the bone, and its weird. Then you realize - its because its real chicken, baked the way grandma would bake chicken, with the meat flaking off the bone. Fuck are they good. They are as close to an all-natural chicken wing as you are likely to find - the meat just falls off the bone. They look a bit small but are priced accordingly ($9/dozen, $16/ two dozen), and since they are pure meat, they likely have as much meat as a larger-looking, breaded wing would contain. If I had to pick one chicken wing to eat for the rest of my life, it would be Brooklyn's. Lemon pepper. And I went there on a whim - saw it, did a u-turn, and had lunch there, never having heard of the place before. Wings are 10 cents on Wednesdays, and the pints are priced at $4.29, a damned good deal in E-town.
