As I am looking in the for sale ads for a new car .. I have wondered why people pick the car they do....

Looks, gas mileage, need room for the kids, etc.. Not an important tread just curious...

Pick a car based on your driving needs. If you use it for basic transportation and errands, pick a smaller compact car that gets good milage. If you need to haul stuff, get a truck. Basically, get the best car you can afford that meets your needs.

I have a 2006 Civic EX and I'm happy with it. If I won $10 million in the lottery, I would still keep it, it's a solid car as was my last Civic.

Man is right about that. Civic is the best.

Nissan Skyline GTS-4

It's a fun sporty car in the summer time, and has all wheel drive and all wheel steering in the winter time. I think it's a great car personally, but they are hard to come by as they were only offered in Japan.

At the moment, a Jeep TJ. Bought it because I wanted something small, fun, and 4X4. A Jeep is like a Tonka toy / Transformer, you can change and do so much with it.
Mind you, in the past 2 years I have gone through 8 vehicles. I get bored of them quickly. Maybe I should just by my Solstice, throw the Borla exhaust on it, mod it out, and call it quits for vehicle buying. :D

Just bought it last September... Love it, I feel like I'm driving a Tank.. especally like the two-tone paint job, not as many out there as say the red, yellow, or beige ones.

always wanted one, so i figured I should buy one before my daughter was born, otherwise I would have got a minivan lol....

Bought it cause the ladies luv it;) When Hubba is cruisin Robson, with the windows down and the AM radio thumpin, the chicks can't help but notice me.
You can pick me up any time in your pacer...
I am looking for sporty and good on gas...
But if gas was not an issue I would love to get a old muscle car My faves are big block hemi charger, 65 to 67 mustang fastback or a 72 challenger R/T ( had one but first husband crashed it)
If money was not an issue I would love to get the new 2008 challenger (50K plus) it looks like the ('72 R/T) or a 50's corvette.

my budget is 8 to 10 K I am finding some good cars just looking out for the right deal..

Skylines are shit, also not hard to come by unless you mean the newest one being offered for 80k, the ones not offered in NA are 14 year old pieces of crap imported so little kids can drive around. There are around 10-20 for sale at any given time just in Edmonton.

Considering an 08-09 Benz C63 with the 6.3L V-12 as a second vehicle. I was initially set on the 3.5L V6 C350 but didnt feel i'd be contributing my fair share to global warming.
