I don't own a vehicle. I rent when I really need one (like for moving, occassionally for a date). Not owning a vehicle is a philosophical thing with me. I know most people can't live without a vehicle (especially if they have to commute and / or drive kids around), but I felt strongly that I was in a position to live without one. I wanted to walk the talk. This experiment has lasted a decade so far and I've definitely had to make adjustments. For example I do my damnest to live walking or biking distance from work. Not everyone can do that.

When I retire though I plan to buy a Harley(ROAD TRIP!), a Porsche (with a ready supply of champagne and caviar in the boot, if it has one), and some kind of hybrid for day to day use. I'll only drive the first two when I have to, I promise! ;D I'll gladly pay the enviro-tax too!

Too decandent I know! My conscience will likely drive me crazy, but I hope to outdrive it! ;D

Okay, let me set the record straight: I'm an semi-educated, english, welsh, jewish hybrid who reads a wide range of literature in several languages (I have bad spelling in 5 langauges, and write in both directions). This probably means I'm just very confused. My diction and style change with each personality that happens to inhabit my brain case that day! Yes, my head twists around at times. I'm all that and more. But I'm born and bred in Canada (mind you I prefer opera to hockey, so I'm not entirely sure about my mothers fidelity:D ). No accent, no tea and crumpets, and I'm no frickin' fan of the royals (most espensive welfare case on the planet). So I don't think I qualify as a limey (though all my ancestors did immigrate from UK, even the jewish side). I've been called a shill on here but never a limey! Will the insults never end! :D

For what it's worth!

Considering an 08-09 Benz C63 with the 6.3L V-12 as a second vehicle. I was initially set on the 3.5L V6 C350 but didnt feel i'd be contributing my fair share to global warming.
The 6.3L is actually 6.2L and it is a V-8. (The call it 6.3 because MB had a famous 6.3 years ago). The 6.2L is the most powerful naturally aspirated production V-8 in the world (last time I checked under my hood) and is sounds so good I open my windows even in the winter so I can hear the exhaust.

For me I am looking for my first car , my first husband drove and I let him..
My second husband it insisting I get my license as we want to take road trips across north America...

I have narrowed it down to three cars.

Thanks for the correction Duck. I mist've read the specs 10times and just assumed it was a 12 because of the 6+ liter engine. What year is yours and do you have any complaints?
