you, of all people then sybian, should KNOW what it looks like when collective tools don't exist in a society. we have a mix of socialism and free enterprise in the most successful and great to live in countries in the world. its a fat cake of socialism with a rich icing of free enterprise that builds on it. as i've constantly noted and that "conservatives" don't get... someone doesn't get rich by themselves. that which we have built collectively as a society are absolutely necessary in order to build wealth. power, water, sewage, roads, railways, labor that can read, right and do arithmetic, medical, the rule of law and a paid military to protect us from ravaging hordes etc etc.

you sybian, were in Afghanistan, and saw with your own eyes what a world looks like when you don't have the rule of law, when you don't have health care, or a paid army and all of those things. the Taliban ARE the ravaging hordes.

and i don't doubt for a second that you can take care of yourself in such situations... but you wouldn't last ten seconds there without that paid army, modern instruments of warfare and full air support. not unless you could instantly grow a beard and create instant bro's with the other old guys who are trading their 10 year old daughters and sending their sons to a jihad death while selling opiates.

but aside none of you make any clear argument of why the fuck it is that you continue to vote for bullshit doughboys who use the same old dog whistles calling for the same old status quo. i hope you guys realize how utterly dumb you sound when you use those dog whistles in your posts. i challenge you... what does "conservative" mean, what does "socialism" or "liberal" mean. you have NO common definition. its some kind of cruel label for shit you don't understand and never will. its your need to hate. its your gut. your brains are useless.

There are those here that know what happened to me when I had no support of any kind......and I survived.

You constantly complain about the filthy socialist ndp in your province. Wait till Kenny employs double to you what
the ndp did. mark my words he'll have no choice as he is already doing a knee jerk proposal of holding out
the carrot to the BC business community offereing them tax cuts to come set up biz in Alberta.
Who do you think he'll go after to make up the short fall? Oil certainly isn't going to do it.
Then we'll see how much you sing against the ndp. i feel sorry for Kenny personally as his job is going to
be a nightmare to figure out. Any suggestions from you or your fellow albertans on how to complete that task?

It might be a good idea to submit ideas before he comes up with "we know what is best for Alberta" except
he will have to ad one word. Sorry!! I had no choice.

Since you sing his praises it might be an idea to stand up and offer him some help. He's going to need
it in spades cuz their will be nothing for him to do except do the same thing you said the ndp did there
will be to enrich himself with yours and every other albertans tax payer dollars.

all he needs to do is stop increasing the public sector, it's all the NDP had to do too
(we went from around 20% to around 24% public sector workers with the NDP)

it's all the PC's needed to do the previous 10-15yrs, who weren't really conservatives, they were conservative lite, Redford was a Liberal, hell Klien was at one time too, an actual Liberal, acted like one in his last yrs, he was spending like one those yrs


if they would have stuck to pop increase and inflation, we'd have a balanced budget, would have the last 10+yrs

we have 2 departments, like all other provinces, Health and Edumacation, which have overpaid employees with ridiculous benefits, compared to the rest of society, who have to pay for it

it's worse in Alberta, we pay 2500/per person more for gov't than the next province, we don't get better results, in Health or Education results, we got better paid pubic workers

66% of the budget goes to those 2 dept, of which is about 50% wages/benefits

it's basic math, we don't have a revenue problem, even with low oil, the issues we have now, we still could have had a balanced budget, no deficit

we just have $100,000 public employees instead, who retiree at 55, have better pensions/benefits that others can only dream about

it isn't that complicated, people have been talking about it here for a decade

we just haven't had anyone with the balls to do it
