This guy is playing light's out football, he has lead the Dallas Cowboys ontop of the NFC East, and they are a dangerous threat to any team that meets them in the playoffs, with a great defence. I think the Dallas Cowboys will play the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game @ Qwest Field. The Chicago Bears will loose their 2nd round game in the playoffs, because Rex Grossman has been playing like shit in the last half of the season. I think Seattle will get the other bye and win their 2nd round (NFC Divisional Game) and play the Cowboys on Championship Sunday for the NFC Title for the right to go Miami and win the SuperBowl.

I think Drew Bledsoe's career with the Cowboys and perhaps in pro football is soon to end. Romo is playing very well and so far looks to be their QB for some time.

Rex Grossman to me is still the QB for the Bears, Yah he's going through a tough time, but really given how much this guy has played in his career he was due for a tough stretch. Afterall he is pretty much getting his career off the ground. Look at how terrible Ben Rothlesberger (sp?) is playing for the Steelers. Can you say a Super Bowl win went to his head? I knew you could. ;)

Would you agree that fans and sports reporters have become much too finicky with QB's these days. The QB's today are hyped so much that it seems how well/poorly they play affects the performance of the defence. Fans, sports reporters, and others forget the obvious: football is a team sport. Yes the QB may very well be the most important position on a team, however it should be kept in poportion. And with 30 some teams, not every team can have a great QB.

With that said, I think Jake Plummer still should be the starting QB for the Broncos. Their offensive woes have much more to do with their entire offence rather than a dumb narrow focus to scape goat Plummer.

The writing was on the wall for Jake Plummer as soon as the Denver Broncos drafted Jay Cutler out of Vanderbilt. Rex Grossman throws way too many interceptions, and if it wasn't for their defence the Chicago Bears would be battling for a Wild Card berth.

Bledsoe has had some bad luck the last few years with his backups

Buffalo get hurt Flutie comes in and takes them to the playoffs
NE gets hurt BRady comes in and takes them to a few super bowls.
Dallas plays like shit and Romo takes them to the top.

One man's misfortune is another man's opportunity.Kurt Warner&Tom Brady got Super Bowl rings after coming off the bench, remains to be seen if Tony Romo will do the same.Still, right now,it seems like the Cowboys are the team to beat in the NFC.Despite the 10-2 record I'd be very hesitant to put much $ on the Bears cuz Grossman is just too inconsistent.Seeing Lovie Smith on TV makes me wonder if he's in denial about his QB.In all other areaas Bears look strong but the QB,I dunno.

I agree Plummer had limited time with the Broncos, however yanking him in favour of a raw rookie could very well hurting Cutler's future. I'm not a big fan of throwing raw rookies, as starting QB's, to the lions without a season or two preparation. The Broncos should have left Plummer as the starter, but with Shanahan willing to yank the veteran out of a game in favour of Cutler.

Given this is really Grossman's first full season as a starting QB, it's unfair to judge him as one for pitching a lot of INT's. Besides INT's are overrated. Simply because a QB throws one isn't the end. One should look to see what the defence does, especially if they force the opposing team to end up punting. Provided he stays healthy I think Grossman has a great chance of being in the upper echelon of NFL QB's. Like Plummer, I think he should be pulled from a game when need be and have Brian Griese come in. Besides, one pretty much has to go WAY back to the 1940's to find a Bears team with a great passing attack! ;)

As you can tell I'm not a big fan of leaving a team's starting QB being pretty the only guy throwing passes. To me the back-up should get some time on the field to shake off the rust, especially in the second half of the season.

New Orleans now looks like the team to beat in the NFC.

agreed,so much for my thinking the 'Boys were the TTB!Man, they bought the whole can of asswhip!
It'll be interesting to see how Rex G. performs tonight as he might be playing for his job.
Also, what about both Indy&NE getting their butts kicked?NFL is tough to figure, maybe we're getting close to parity?

Well Drew Brees manhandled the Dallas Cowboys defence, and Reggie Bush is one fast runner, it would not surprise me to see the New Orleans Saints vs San Diego Chargers in the SuperBowl. LaDanian Tomlinson will be the MVP of the NFL but Drew Brees will be 2nd in voting.

Good comments. Special teams won it for the Bears last night.
If Grossman plays as well in the playoffs Chicago has a very
good shot at going to the Super Bowl. If they make it and
play the Chargers, i'd think SD would be favoured. But the
Ravens, Saints and Cowboys are strong contenders too. And
NE and Indy shouldn't be counted out yet, although the Pats
need to get healthy & cut down on the TO's, while the Colts
need something better than a strawman run D.
