Do you tip your lawyer or accountant?I think about it this way: it is a service so you should tip as in any other service: 10% - 15% depending on how you were served.

Well I am using the word service in a slightly different manner. Your lawyer is providing you a service but that kind of service is different from the service provided by an escort or a waiter/waitress. You tip for services where the servant's attitude has a big effect on the outcome of your experience. If you had a lawyer with a shitty attitude if (s)he wins the case you don't give a fuck about his attitude towards his/her clientèle. But a waitress no matter how good she is can't serve you well if she does not have a good attitude.Do you tip your lawyer or accountant?
I love your comments, I think we shall meet someday, you are such a class act!A client who repeats is giving me the best tip and best compliment ever.
Thank you so much!!!

I guess my point is some SPs' hourly rate are on par or above lawyers and accountants and I don't see the need to tip. A small gift perhaps but it's not like they are making minimum wage like a waitress.Well I am using the word service in a slightly different manner. I don't know if I made my point clearly enough. But please point out if I am being inconsistent.
But this is definitely not why I tip.I guess my point is some SPs' hourly rate are on par or above lawyers and accountants and I don't see the need to tip. A small gift perhaps but it's not like they are making minimum wage like a waitress.
I would agree with that theoretically but the expectation is that the waitress will be compensated for their low hourly rate with tips.I tip because I want to reward good service and/or punish bad service. And as I said I tip in cases where my servant's attitude has a great effect on my overall experience.
Yes I did say that. Is there a problem? She hates being called a barber. What do you prefer? Hair stylist? DamnDid you say hairdresser???
Damn.

You're only as good as your last haircut spermie.....What I meant was I never knew being a hairdresser--or hairstylist or whatever term is preferred--could be so lucrative.
Maybe that is the problem. You are supposed to get them all cut not just one! You're only as good as your last haircut spermie.....
TIPS =But this is definitely not why I tip.
I don't tip because I want to boost the waitress's wage (with that logic I should not tip because I make very little money myself. On a yearly basis she might even make more than me) I tip because I want to reward good service and/or punish bad service. And as I said I tip in cases where my servant's attitude has a great effect on my overall experience.
My personal favorite is stockings!!! lolI'm not a big fan of tipping in most circumstances, hair stylist, barista and SP normally don't get a tip from me. I have however tipped SPs on occasion once as much as 25% of the rate because the service was that good! This is a rare occurrence though. I prefer to give a gift to show my appreciation. My hair stylist likes German Whites so at Christmas she gets a bottle, she's the owner of the studio and really does she need the $5 from my semi annual hair cut? Hey I'm old and the hair doesn't grow that fast any more. When I showed up with a wine that she told me about almost a year before she was very happy.
A gift shows that an effort has been made to find something that is 'just right'. How much thought and effort goes into an extra forty bucks?
Ms Sexy Nina Leone absolutely has it going on:
Really? My personal favorite is stockings!!! lol
....get her a condo and then maybeDamn if only I had known before she might actually like it when I show up.
