I will be hitting up Thailand at the end of February with friends, visiting Bangkok & Phuket.
What are some of the good night clubs & restaurant should we visit?

Going for approx 2 weeks, how much dough should we be taking. We are not big on spending money on shopping. Mostly likely will be site seeing & partying.

My best advice is this.....DO NOT MESS WITH DRUGS....not grass not pills not ANYTHING.....Thailand has a death penalty for drug offences.....in a lot of cases the death penalty is commuted to life in prison which after 6 months you would rather a quick painless death.

Find a natural pretty one. Most Thai ladys in the bars have opera thick makeup on where the face glows. Unatural bright.

Also i heard Pattaya is the city of sin. Go there and look for fishbowls, its like a giant round room with ladies with nunbers and you choose which lady. Whiter looking ladies vost more.

yeah Pattaya city is great IMO you can pretty much party go for a beer play pool look for lady anytime of the day, night, morning whenever... at very reasonable rate might add, so much choice is insane hehe, just have to stick to some rules of course play safe but it can be lot of fun.. as for the fishbowls one time in BKK i go to this massage place they had 2 big fishbowls side by side like giant aquariums filled with ladies one was with cheaper price with average looking ladies and the other with more attractive ladies with bit higher price but again still very reasonable for short time boom boom which is 1 h..

OK, well I just got back last week from a month in Thailand. Agree with above on drugs and the king, also dont touch people on the head or point the soles of your feet at them. Bangkok, definatly soi cowboy just to say you have been, Nana plaza is a short distance away, also worth checking out. Price wise I think you are in for a schock, most girls at the gogos, well the good looking ones anyways want about 3000 baht short time, alot are not interested in long time as they make more money doing a few short times. The fish bowls are for the soapy massages, worth a try once, but expensive. beer will set you back about 120+ baht in a bar, lady drinks are the killer, 180+ baht.also any bar you get a lady from, you have to pay to take her out of the bar 800+ baht. the best value for money I have found is the massage parlours 1 hour massage and a bj 1000 baht. Phuket I havent been to in years, but expect to pay more than Bangkok prices, also avoid taxis, the taxi mafia is brutal there.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm heading to Bangkok and Chiang Mai for the first time later this month. Further intel on both places much appreciated. I'm an older gent and wondering, beyond massage parlours which do interest me, what you would suggest besides the go go bars (though I'm sure I'll check out) Something a little more chill but still with the pretty girls galore Like hostess bars etc but more quiet, laid back bars. Thanks guys.

Beer bars, basically chairs lined up around a circular bar. the servers are usually all barfinable and much less money than a gogo, think 300baht barfine and about 1000 baht longtime. check out https://www.pattaya-addicts.com/forum/
Just assume in any touristy place they are gonna overcharge you. The massage parlours are your best deal moneywise, take them from the shop back to your hotel if you want, hell take 2 or 3

Pattaya addicts website has info for all of Thailand, and beer bars are in every city/village/field

Bangkok has a ton of massage parlours close to the BTS Phrom Phong (their version of skytrain) station. Around Sukhumvit soi 24/1. Checkout rockitreports.com. I would also recommend BJ bars and gogo bar Crazy House close to Sukhumvit soi 23 (but its LOUD there).

Chiang Mai has much less nightlife than BKK or Pattaya.

Omg u are going to have a blast! Definitely say no to any drugs when u r there, Thai jail's are worse than death.. definitely visit Nana plaza which is the lady boy district... Even if you are not into lady boys, it's amazing how great they look and they are fun to party with for sure! A regular club I went to with mostly locals and they loved me is club Bossy... They have 5 dance poles.... So much fun! If you don't feel like dancing on the pole, just enjoy the atmosphere, they do have Gogo dancers there...

My best suggestion for traveling from Bangkok to Chiang Mai is take the train and go FIRST CLASS.....will cost you less than $60 for oppulent first class rail travel that is luxurious and safer than a bus.....it is an overnight train and you lack for nothing from videos I have seen on youtube.

Thx Doc Ya, I 'm doing four nights in BBK (so three full days there which felt right) then three nights in Chiang Mai. Then flying home from CM. I wanted some beach time (next trip) but thought for my first trip to Thailand I'd hit BKK and CM. Future trips, beach time Looking forward to it. Picked up some bhats today
