Sports fans in general are suckers, or else they wouldn't buy over-priced crap with team logos or pay extra for pay-per-view games, but the way hockey fans have stormed back into the cult without a peep is really incredible. The league and the teams have cut payroll expenses by 26%, the rosters have been reduced and they now have these back-to-back games that save a huge amount on travel costs, but by-and-large there has been no reduction in tickets prices and the teams keep raking it in. Anyone who doesn't get a free ticket to games from the company they work for is an idiot. The fans had all the power after the lock out and could have forced the teams into ticket cuts by refusing to buy for a while, but they totally blew it in their fervour to see Manny Malhotra and Kyle Wellwood.
