Nhra license means you go atleast 9’s... 110 1/8 Im guessing high 130’s top end unless it’s a turbo car that back half’s like crazy... I need to get me some proper tires last time out I trapped 126 @12.42... traction is a fallacy on 20’sLike I said, going 110mph to me is like a walk on a sunday afternoon in the park.
At the track I hit 110mph at the eighth mile. That's half way down the Quarter mile folks.
Anyone wanna guess what it is at the trap? That's the end of the Quarter mile.
It's MOTHA FUCKIN FAST!!!!!! :jaw:

I've had two in the last 8 years, and been pulled over 4 times......I drive a black diesel, with an empty gun rack in the back window, so you can probably do the math.Yaa, nooo, um, sorry I guess? I really wasn't trying to brag about being a professional driver, which is why I never mentioned it when I started this thread asking if anyone here has ever been pulled over on hwy 1. I'm aware it sounds cheesy to say "I'm a professional driver", but if you read the posts before I mentioned it, you'll probably see why I felt it was necessary to clarify. Also, I anticipated much what the responses would be (you're an idiot, you think you know it all, I see guys like you die every day) and while those all have some merit I'm sure, that's not what I was looking for.
I don't expect anyone to understand my position, any more than I would understand what it's like being you doing your job that you are really good at. I'm sure a lot of carpenters have to listen about this great trick grandpappy taught you when building a shelf, and pastry chefs hearing about old Aunty Eve's amazing biscuits, and just as they would be generally polite: yes, I understand there are risks associated with speeding (which I'm sure none of you ever do) and if I was a perfect citizen I wouldn't speed, and I am a bad person. There is the potential that I could injure or kill someone and that is always to be respected, and only through a lot of training and countless hours and some luck and the grace of God I've never ever had an accident in all my years so far. Okay?
So, um, is there anyone who has got a speeding ticket on highway 1 in the last 10 years? Still nobody? K. That's my answer then I guess, and thanks all again for your replies and suggestions.
Easy now folks. I admit I did something very foolish. I don't need a bunch of perbites to pile onNo, mostly you are dangerous....but you guys keep thinking that. Please keep it off the roads. You may think you are safe and skilled but you don't know what the other driver is about to do, generally followed by death and mayhem.
If you get that sucker to hook up at 126mph you'll be right in the mid to low ten's . Nice stuff!!!Nhra license means you go atleast 9’s... 110 1/8 Im guessing high 130’s top end unless it’s a turbo car that back half’s like crazy... I remember seeing those between Trenton and Kingston......O boy tickets..... let me knock on wood..... I have not had one for a while, but in my younger days....... I may or may not have received tickets in most provinces...... (except PEI)
But to this day when I enter Ontario, I check how fast I am going.... when I see this sign....

I have not seen this one yet in Ontario.....

I run domestic class, 2011 mustang GT 3550lb race wieght with driver , grabbing some 15x10’s and running ET Street R’s this season. Hoping for 1.4x 60’sIf you get that sucker to hook up at 126mph you'll be right in the mid to low ten's . Nice stuff!!!
Try the Nitto drag radial tires at low psi, they traction out very well unless you wanna go full on Bias drag slick.
I hated those tires for Super pro. Scares the shit outta you when your ass is trying to pass your
nose all the time. BUT WHAT A RUSH MAN!!! LOL!!
One thing I must say though with front wheel drive, (of course I'm assuming) this is what you are driving that you'll
never get that rush where you can't even see that track ahead of you at the launch cuz yer front wheels are a foot
or more in the air.
Super pro when I ran it, yes. Laundry was next but I blew my budget on pooning. LOL!!
I take it you run sport compact/ import. Some fine little hair dryers out there that can burn the
hides off most wheels today. You're right you need some meatier tires bro but don't forget FIRST
to upgrade all that supports that power you want to put into traction. Speed and safety cost bucks!

Wow good old Domestic. Man I ran that class in the 90's with a beat up old Dodge dart. Ran 12.50's all day longI run domestic class, 2011 mustang GT 3550lb race wieght with driver , grabbing some 15x10’s and running ET Street R’s this season. Hoping for 1.4x 60’s
Absolutely and well said. My only fear driving on public hwy's is not knowing what the guyhttps://www.thesafedriver.ca/2013/08/29/define-professional-driver/
At the end of the day HWY 1 or any other street/road for that matter is not a closed track and as a professional I'd suggest you have to drive with consideration that not everybody has a Class 1 and a million miles under their belt, or is a licensed drag racer..or formula one driver...take your pick.
@yvr. Any idea what caused that crash in the photo you posted? That is pure mayhem and
just plain ugly. Looking at that tree to the right it appears to be in fall or near winter plumage.
Being Ontario it would not surprise me if that was in winter and was weather
related to some degree.

Forgot to ask you about this one Aesthetics, You hit 126mph and only achieved a mid 12?Nhra license means you go atleast 9’s... 110 1/8 Im guessing high 130’s top end unless it’s a turbo car that back half’s like crazy... Hwy 1 East towards Hope going through the curves drops to 80 or 90, can't remember. Going from 120+ down to posted speed always catches someone. Myself included. It's a cash cow with a LEO waiting to take your $.
Minivan RCMP dark red colour is always working the HOV enforcement in both directions usually West of Gagliardi. I'm surprised how many think they can get away with it
West Van always has a car near the Horseshoe Bay exit. Speed is 50 km/hr. One cop has a reputation of seizing cars and apparaently an off duty RCMP got his seized too.
