Or idle pleasures.... what's yours?

Mines polishing my wood :D Damn, once I get out that rag and bottle of pledge to do one piece of furniture, it's like Lays... I just can't stop at one, gotta do em all! It's kind of a zen thing for me, I guess.

mmmm...I love the smell, feel and look of freshly polished wood :) Bringing out the grain like that gives me that happy feeling.

In my own imagination!!
Yea just no pledge...

...please tends to burn that type of wood. Enough pledge might however work as a shelac spray on condom?LOL

Pledge???

Yep, lay off the Pledge. This type of product is only good for file 13.

Better yet, try better materials such as Danish oil or, if you’re into waxing, something with carnauba in it.

Do some research into proper wood finishing and you will see the reward. Surprisingly to some, it can be somewhat sinful when you see the graining stand out in a fine piece of wood. Not for everyone, much like sucking toes. I don't get that one.

Don’t get me started on floor waxes!

well, I don't actually use pledge. I use a basic wood oil, can't remember the name...oooh, I love seeing the grain stand out. Gives me tingles!

Avarice, a sinful pleasure is pretty much anything that you find delight in.... often something that others might question the reason behind... for some people, it's collecting bottle caps (or more accurately, sorting them according to time collected, date minted, and brand of beer in an alpha numeric order) *shrug*

edit: I looked it up...just some lemon oil stuff :D

I love doing stuff to my car. Interior upgrades. Cut polish exterior. Redo the rims. Synth oil change every 5000k. I don't know what upgrades are next, but I can't wait. Maybe a new top. Fuck I love my car. Sometimes I love my car more than any human being I think.

Tiana  Do you use a wax on, or wax off motion for passing the oil over the wood?

George: I'm not that way at all with my car, but if I ever get an old porche 911 (targa or cab.), I know I'd be spending more time and money than I have looking after it.

I guess another odd delight would be that I actually enjoy mixing & serving booze more than I like drinking it :) Put me behind a bar at a friends party, and I'll have a ball. It's another one of those zen experiences, to become one with the liquor, as well as some creativity and free form excellence!

Heck, if I ever meet someone and settle down, I'm sure I'll make a suggestion for the wedding reception that we save a few bucks on a bartender and I'll do it myself. I also imagine there will be a rather nasty glare, followed by a smack, and the filling of that suggestion full of holes as big as a flak 36 round :|

Boooya!

I love watching the French maid in the short skirt with oiling all the wood (furniture) in the house ... if only !!!

Being the bartender at your own wedding at least for a while is a great idea.
You get to see all the guests ... instead of you walking around to all the tables and leaving drinks everywhere as you are interupted to dance ... you get to chat, have a drink and finish a conversation ...
