Recently I've been thinking about getting satellite radio for my home stereo. Shaw is my current cable provider, so I am limited to their selection of Spokane radio stations.

I don't have Satellite radio in my car, but after inquring about getting it for my home stereo, I would have to do the following: (For Sirrius)
1) First, purchase the car kit ($40)
2) Purchase the home kit ($60)
3) Purchase a subscription ($15/month...I believe one year sign-up minimum)

I'm dropping a $100 before I even get anything. Are there any cheaper solutions?

Can I get it through my pc and then feed my stereo from my pc (what connection would I need for that if I did go that way?) What would the quality of the feed be? (I have high speed with Shaw).

Any suggestions/feedback would be greatly appreciated. What have other people done?

thanks
