On another note about oil, it pisses me off that the gas station owners get very little for the fuel they sell for these big oil companies. From what I hear around Winnipeg is a station owner gets about 1.5 to 2 cents per litre of fuel sold and out of that comes all of their expenses.

Big oil shouldn't be bitching about all of the taxes on fuel when they are raking profits in the tens of billions of dollars.

That's the oil company's version of "trickle down economics" where the profits trickle down to senior management, shareholders who don't give a shit about workers or the environment, elected officials and their buddies.

Actually when you think about it, the real secret is to invest in oil companies then the more money they make the more you make. More are publicly owned anyway.

And if you look at your salary today and the price of gas and compare that to your salary and gas in the past you'll probably see that the costs for the most part compare. And today our vehicles are more efficient BUT most of us Ii bet are driving more. Our cars are so comfortable that they are an extension of the family room.

BUT I do have an issue with the reasons why we (north Americans) are, in my belief, engaged a war. We are killing for control. And that control game started long before 911. It is likely that 911 might not have happened had we treated another country's possessions as theirs.
