Huge bomb scare in Boston that shut down the River, many bridges and many highways. The devices were an advertizing stunt. Looks like a bit of over reaction and also a bit of Turner should have advised the police he was putting the things up.

When you keep being told by the authorities (the people who should know, after all) that there's a terrorist hiding around every corner, sooner or later the paranoia is going to get out of hand. A docile and perpetually frightened populace is just what a government needs to have a free hand in implementing draconian measures (for example, The Patriot Act) that would never be tolerated in "normal" times.

CNN were going bonkers with this story and wouldn't ya know it, the promo was for a show being run on CNN PARENT COMPANY'S OTHER STATION!!! Classic! Meanwhile, as it gets out that they're finding these things across the country, folks are thinking something's really up! If anything, it shows the crack pots just how easy it would be to really fuck the States up.

It'll be interesting to see how these 2 guys get hung out for this when a hell of a lot more people, including senior management at both the firm they worked for and Turner, had to have known in order for a stunt this elaborate, covering off multiple cities, being able to be pulled off in the first place.

Watching CNN this morning, you could see the anchors attempting to distance the mother ship from the whole mess. Fuckers!
