This is such crazy news. I feel bad for all those innocent people out at the library. We are fortunate that this type of news isn't regular or common in this city though, compared to others.

I just could not believe what had happened when I heard the news. 1/2 hr earlier I was at the Chinese restaurant across from the Lynn Valley library picking up some lunch. North Van its my hood and not in a million years I would have thought an event like this could have ever happened here. My thoughts are with the people who had to go through this traumatic experience.

The narrative that is relevant is that a human being was killed and six others injured due to the actions of another person.
there is no need to radicalize or racilize this incident, it is tragic enough.

do not assume that mental health can be identified by clothes or any still moment shot in time.
wait for the facts to be released and in the interm remember that 7 families have been affected by this event.
