Luongo Injury

I hear Luongo maybe out for a longer period of time and could miss another month. I don't think Sanford and Schneider can provide the goaltending the nucks need. Without giving up anything, how about the nucks take a chance on Ray Emery? I don't know what NHL goalie is available. Edmonton has 3 but I don't see Tambellini making a trade with a northwest division rival.

The other teams dont have Luongo but still have solid goaltending. San Jose has Nabokov, Flames have Kiprusoff, Montreal has Price, etc. etc.

Maybe Emery has learned his lesson.

I would say that I want to give Schnieder his chance but after that performance againest Colorado I just don't think he is ready. He is supposed to be an amazing propect and didn't play too bad in preseason but that game was not a confidence builder. We just got shutout by the oilers which is rediculous! Sanford let in 2 soft goals! But we can't do anything but stick with the backups, emery is a risk that isn't worth the backlash!
