Go to Bonsor Community Center in Metrotown. Only costs $5 to get in. They have tons of fitness equipment, from bench-smith machine, crunch machine, tons of aerobics machines (treads, steps, ski, etc), even big TV sets. I go there to work out on a regular basis. Lots of cute Asian and White girls there. Also quite a few guys into serious muscle building too, which I find useful to be around instead of the usual not-serious types who waste space at most rec centres.

I aint cheap. Use to a member of fitness world and locked into a 2 year plan. It's hard to go all the time. Especially in the winter might wanna sleep in

Good for you. This is the first time I have seen you stick up for yourself when someone slams you. (and you get a lot of it!) Keep it up.

If you're downtown try the YMCA. Basketball court, two pools, 15 or 16 racket courts plus a ton of machines for cardio etc.... Usually a lot of hotties as well.

I like Bonsor, but don't you find it's pretty busy there.
esp during prime time.
yeh its busy alright. That's why I try to get in there at other times, like in the morning or early afternoon, since my best workouts are in that time as opposed to the evening (which is prime time). I only really need that place for the Smith machine and the abdomen crunch machine thought. But yeh it can be a bit of a wait for one of the benches, but now I've made a few friends there who don't mind at all sharing the bench or spotting with me which makes the wait times shorter. The best thing about Bonsor is the energy level at that place .... everyone is quite serious working out, and there's always cute girls hanging around. A good energy level at a gym is just as necessary as your own energy level to keep you motivated and focussed.

I`m glad someone remembered. Where`s Marvin on this one? I`m sure he`s got something to say.
Of course I remember ... and I added my $0.02 to LAG`s "can`t afford to poon" thread HERE. :D

Grant and Commercial

Its the north end, a few blocks north of 1st. Parking around there will probably be a bit of an issue though.
