Years ago in Seattle I had a friend from Sri Lanka. He invited me to his home for a meal and had me try some curry that his visiting father had brought over from the old country. The first few tastes blew my mouth away, my eyes teared constantly and my face was beet red. But after I got over the initial nuclear explosion in my head, I really really enjoyed it.

The other day I pulled out a brand new jar of bell peppers from Save-On and I ate one raw in less than 15 seconds without skipping a beat. I miss hot food.

I've tried all kinds of Indian restaurants around town, and also Latin American food, Moroccan food, Korean food, Szechuan food, etc. The heat is just not there for me anymore.

Anyone know where I can get really really really hot spicy food?

Man, I'd hate to be in your house when that hot stuff works it way through your system. lol

somewhere
If you like Thai curries, there's a place called Simply Thai in Yaletown. Choose the Extra hot option and I think you'll be happy. I like a real spice bomb from time to time but ususally don't go for extra hot as I only enjoy feeling the heat when it's on the way in.

I am a fan of hot banana peppers myself. Pataks Curry has various brands of Curry, with a hot brand as well. Hotest thing I ever ate where some jalapeno peppers when I was a kid, still am not sure what brand they where, but my god they where fawking brutal! Made my face sweat and tears run out of my eyes:eek:

There used to be (maybe still is) a Sri Lankan, Malaysian, South Asian restaurant on Kingsway and Knight. That food can be fire, but that makes it better.

You guys up there have the best for these types of cuisine.
