The Lieberals screamed holy hell when the Harper Conservatives reduced the GST because it was less revenue to frivilously spend.They knew they could not get away with raising the GST back up to restore that lost revenue
so they came up with shiny BS Carbon Tax to save the environment but the caveat is that it does not lower emissions.The Parliamentary Budget Officer has clearly stated that the Carbon Tax would need to be $223 a tonne to
reduce emissions(as in CHOKE us to death) and at that price the cost of a gigajoule of natural gas to foolishly heat your home so you dont freeze to death in winter goes up big time.About $4 for the gas and the Carbon Tax would cost you
an extra $10.50 per gigajoule and then the GST gets tacked on top of it.
The latest edict that the average Canadian family would get more back from the Carbon Tax credit on their tax returns than they would actually spend it utterly fucking rediculous.So all that extra added bureaucracy comes for free?That newly formed government department staffed with pencil pushers and unionized employees that get yearly raises tied to inflation as well as their defined benefit pensions that are also tied to inflation do they come for free?I dont fucking think so.
The Carbon Tax is a consumption tax and the average Canadian family will NOT get more back than they pay out because what is the point of that?
Next up on the horizon is raising the Capital Gains tax to 75% to shore up the ballooning defecits created by the Tax and Spend MORE governance of the Lieberals.
