What are your favourite movies?
The movies that can evoke a strong emotional response are always the most memorable for me. The macho action flicks can be good for pure entertainment value, but they are rarely memorable.
My favourites:
1) The Road Home
An amazingly beautiful Chinese movie. Almost no action and little dialogue, but some of the most amazing visuals I have even seen in a movie and an incredibly heart-wrenching story. A simple story of love and innocence, yet in this simplicity lies the complexity that is life. The emotions are so strong you will know what the characters are thinking even before they have spoken and you can almost feel what they are feeling in their hearts. Even the toughest most insensitive guys will want to cry because this movie is so incredibly beautiful.
2) Groundhog Day
Unless you have been living in a cave for the last ten years, you’ve probably already seen this movie.
3) Love Actually
Definitely a chick flick, but a very good one. I never get tired of watching Keira Knightly.
Other great movies:
Leon: The Professional, The Last Samurai, Kill Bill, The Butterfly Effect, Ringu
