Brian Burke put this team together and it failed, so how can he be the best thing that ever happened to this team? Second, burke's "i'll drive him to the airport myself" attitude may have been good money management, but not good team management -- his attitude sucked too often and it showed on the players.
Crawford won the cup in colorado with a dream team ... he never repeated that success here whether it was his fault or not so he now has a chance to prove himself with another team ... if its TO he will just have the same record with them ...
Nonis ... what's a boy to do? lousy owners ... lousy attitude on the team: he now has a chance to prove that he can build something better ... if he keeps Bert and Nazzi he won't be around next season ... if he's smart, he loses them and uses their $11 million plus to sign the Brothers as the top line (sedins and carter) ... sign Jovo and trade him to Florida for Jokinen ... tell Clouts not to bother showing up ... or trade him for anything.
As for a new coach, I definitely agree with the GET TED movement ... if the team succeeds it was a brilliant move ... if they fail, well, it just proves you don't bet on the dark horse. pretty much a no-brainer, which sums up the Canucks ownership.
