I'm thinking about getting one. I would like to hear from people who have them. What model do you have and how do you like it (for both the results and the user friendy aspect)

Thanks in advance.

Dakota W, I agree with both seemeagain and mustangjoe. Most people buy these expensive machines, they work on it for a month, the novelty wears off, get bored with it, it sits in your basement for a long time, than you sell it at the next garage sale. Join a gym instead, more equipment to use, socialize and you may meet someone ya like.

I know some folks who use this at home. It's apparently pretty effective.

But I would agree that as long as you're dedicated, any strength building regiment would yield results.

Just pop a little Wistrol and shoot a little Sustanon, then do a couple push ups. You'll be looking like He-man in no time.

Not exactly a good piece of equipment to buy. The way I see it, you only get half a workout. But be carefull if you still want to buy it, one slip and you'll end up in someone's bulleye.

In my opinion there is no replacement for some good old fashioned free weights......In the buy&sell there are a ton of people selling there bowflex....I think it's vastly overrated and way overpriced.....my .02

They list all sorts of exercises you supposedly can do but a lot of them are awkward and uncomfortable with an unnatural range of motion. Get thee to a Gym and ogle the ladies much more fun

Thanks for your input

While bowflex may not be the answer, I am pretty hot to get some kind of a home gym. I'm not big on getting a gym membership as I'm not really fond of being ogled in the mainstream and the women's only gyms don't cap their weights high enough for me.

And to those nay sayers who think the novelty will wear off. Nope. I've been thinking about this for awhile. My hobbies and interests involve heavy lifting. While I am frighteningly strong for a woman, I think with a regular workout, the lifting wouldn't be so heavy. I'm not trying to get 'in' shape, I already am. I'm looking for something to strength build.

have you consider about spending the money on supplements that will enhance your strength building, products like creatine/protein, they are proven to work.

I understand the bow flex was recalled. A major design fault with the equipment.

THE UNIT FALLS OVER, WHEN YOU HANG TO MANY SHIRTS AND SKIRTS ON ONE SIDE.

well i have a little gym in my house, but i find it did really nothing. when i started going to a real gym, i got 12 personal training sessions and that basically got me going.

it dosent matter if the gym is right next to you or a 10 min drive, you have to have the willingness to do it or neither is going to work.

btw, my gym is open 24/7(except sat, sun and holidays)
