This is good news that she has been found. I do hope she gets the help she needs. While I have never met her, I could not help but follow this thread and I was hoping it would not end in bad news. It's really nice to see that there are some in the community that take it upon themselves to help when the police can't or won't do much.
Its a real eye opener,the fact that the cops could care less.I'm really glad that she was found & i hope that she can get her life back on track.Its really nice to see that this fringe community called perb can do something posative for those involved in this trade.

I have known this girl since she was 3 and I personally know her family and knew her father.I have looked at her pics on craigslist and Ca quite a few times and thought it was her but she looked so different and I was not sure but I had a feeling.It was Not until Carly's post did I know for sure who she was.I do not think it is cool to post all her buisness up here.You probably have not even known her long.She was with a asshole she had been dating for a while nothing to do with the industry so please stop pretending like you give a shit.

You know what, shame on you people who were criticizing Carly for her only trying to help. i mean, sure, i could understand with the antagonizing girls because they know first hand about privacy but ladies: don't you think those opinions generally apply to you rather then all sp's? everyone has their own guidelines, some more or less; therefore there is no SP standard, because each one is so different, whether independent or employed. lets just recap that ashtyn has not even spoken, let alone about her privacy infiltration. And since shes been found, its been noted that she wasn't in the best of shape, much considering her choice of (ex?)boyfriend. She doesn't seem to care a WHOLE lot about her well-being let alone her reputation so don't get all bent out of shape toward someone with the right intentions. Of course, the sad things mentioned about her family won't really help much at all to help getting the girl found and if i were an SP, i guess it'd bother me a little too if someone was publicly mentioning that.
But if i were missing like Ashtyn was, it wouldnt EVEN phase me, actually i'd be thankful. Every little bit counts, and helps no matter how small; just like it is with crime scene investigation these days, the real major part of it is so small, its like doing brain surgery on a spider monkey while riding in VW bug. (pardon the stupid metaphor)
I would MUCH rather someone like a friend would be bringing up irrelevant information in hopes to trying to get me found. Even if it was personal, i'd much rather have my meaningless family history exposed rather then to end up DEAD somewhere in a ditch, and waiting for the authorities to only maybe find my corpse
sure, no one likes their diary/journal to be looked into but how would you feel if your life was on the line? i sure would hope i had friends out there like Carly at least trying to have me found, even if its just passing a message down the grapevine.
and besides, whats someone going to do with that little family information, find out your real identity and name?

i wouldn't have even replied to this ancient thread a few weeks ago if i didn't care. you have no right to come here with little writing history or technique and start insulting someone who was trying to help your "friend" in her time of need. Matter of fact, how are you her friend? a real friend would've posted something before she was missing, not after the fact she was found. you don't even try to justify your statements so it seems to me you've come here only after shes been found just to criticize, yet you hold no grounds or leverage in which to do it.

If I went missing, I would hope that the community would speak on my behalf, in any way they saw fit, if it meant that I might be found or helped.

Thanks for the support people. I wasn't going to respond to the post because I just don't have the energy or desire to have explain myself over again or justify what I did to people I don't even know but hopefully this will put it all to rest as it seems to be dragging out, so I'm going to respond just one more time. Just by the statement that when they saw the pictures of Ashtyn they weren't sure if it was her until I "confirmed" it, logic dictates that they hadn't seen Ashtyn in a few years because if they had, they would have known for sure it was her as that is what she has looked like for a while now.
The only part of the post that bothers me is the not caring part....I don't think the poster was referring to anyone but me, however I appreciate everyone's support just the same. I really do care about Ashtyn FWIW. I also know about her asshole BF, hence one of the reasons, (which I initially stated in one of my past posts), I was worried. I never really believed it was industry\client related as the poster seems to think I did. PERB wasn't the only place I went. Actually, it was the last place after I had exhausted all other avenues open to me. I made phone calls, others made phone calls, internet contacts, contacts with the authorities etc.... People cared...especially me. ( I had my own reasons for taking a personal liking and protectiveness of Ashtyn). The poster is right in one thing though.....I didn't know Ashtyn for very long because she left before we could, but the time we knew her and what we knew of her....there was no "pretending" of anything, we cared about her and we still do.

I should not have been so harsh I apologize , and no I have not seen her for quite a while actually.Last time I saw her she was doing well and trying to get her kid.I heard she might be working but I did not want to believe it.I had no right to blame you I was just upset.Please disregard my thread and thank you for helping.
