Canada is an also ran but the matches I've seen with New Zealand, South Africa etc have been excellent.

A gentleman's sport played by hooligans at its finest.

"Experts" are calling for S Africa to win it.

They are walking all over Samoa at the moment looking to have quite the formidable team moving on to the quarter / semi finals.

They lost to Japan, didn't they? Not a good start, though they could make a good comeback. They should win over Samoa, as their best players tend to be in NZ, and in the All Blacks if any good.

True but this is still pool play. Top two teams from the four pools move on.

Yup, luvvin' this RWC so far - several near misses and one big upset already!

I think best team in the tournament so far is Ireland - clinical and consistent.

England v Wales should be a cracker!

BD
I'd like to see Ireland v a top six team. So far they appear to be peaking at the right time.

Watching England v Wales now and it's awesome. I've got a shit load of work to do but can't get away from the game.

Any All Black, Australia, South African and England game is always a treat to watch. All four would probably make the quarter finals.

Yah and Wales beat England in front of Royal's at Twickenham this afternoon.

One of the best games ever coming back from 10 points down to win in the last few minutes.

Yes I saw William and Kate watching the game, but I didn't see the Prince of Wales. I wonder which team he was shouting for.

I've been enjoying watching the games. England v. Australia should be epic because if England loses there's a good chance they won't make it out of their pool because of their loss to wales. That's a brutal group, with england, australia and wales.

Prince Harry was there too sporting a hipster beard too lol

Hence the 'Group of Death' title for that group. England v Australia will probably be biggest game of pool play. Would be a shame to see them go out early, but I'm sure the Welsh are thinking the same thing....;-)

Insane group of talented teams. England looked great v Wales but forgot to play the last 3 minutes of the game. Oz and Ireland are looking indestructible right now.

I got the RWC app on my phone and it's chalk full of useful info. Also has a quick test your knowledge game when you open it up. Sure pressures my memory because some of the questions are from 20 years ago.

I think I'll play Invictus on the TV today :thumb:

Just loved the Wales v Fiji game.

Wales have the lead but Fiji has a ton of heart and just don't quit.

Canada played amazing and their pack had a lot to do with it. France just had the faster more skilled players today.

Australia v England tomorrow should be a good game - all or nothing for England now.

BD

I thought the word "humbling" was best for the defeat at Twickenham today.

So the top teams so far are:

Oz
Wales
NZ
SA
France
Ireland

Pool B & C is up for grabs as to who the second team is to move on.

Ok I am over it now haha

Canada up 15 doughnut v Romania and let them back in the game to lose 17-15. Now they are done. Still it was a good exciting game albeit a lousy result.

Yesterday

Whoa Springboks destruction of the USA team.

Predictions for the semi finales? My guess is SA vs NZ and ARG vs AUS.
Good question. Oz, Ireland, SA, NZ, Arg and Wales have all been great. Wales has so much heart and just never quits although limited chance v the big guns.

Seeing Oz v Wales yesterday and Ireland v France today made me think Oz and Ireland will be tough to beat. I forgot Scotland and they have a very complete team - great pack and their scrum half is very quick.

Too close to call now. Some teams have lost multiple players to injuries so it will be survival of the fittest moving forward.
