I fear that the comment in the first thread on discretion was completely misinterpreted - It had absolutely nothing to do with keeping any form of harassment discreet - and the point related to politicians was completely missed...
The business by its very nature needs to be discreet - there are many who use these services who would suffer greatly from being found out (or found in for that matter) and for many of the SPs, being "outed" would be completely devastating - this is why discretion is so important.
Harassment should be and must be dealt with by the authorities who have the skills, knowledge and capabilities to deal with it immediately and effectively... and I support that as I'm sure we all do...
From the comment on politicians, it would seem that there is a thought that if they get involved we might see more relaxed rules and a greater level of legal tolerance - NOT SO - politicians will always take the moral high ground – partly because it makes for good press and mostly because it is easy to “sell” to the unknowing electorate. It has been proved time and time again that when the business gets too public we would see a crackdown on the business driving it more and more underground where the risks for both SPs and Clients would increase exponentially...
