So...a lot of news sites reporting that Biden is going to give nukes to Ukraine before leaving office. This certainly would not go well with Russia or the entire world for that matter. It would trigger a nuclear WW3 and bring war to North America for once! Most of the wars always fought in Asia, Middle east or Europe and we never experienced war before here. What do you think of his action? Are you making any changes to your life/lifestyle? Have you considered moving to somewhere much safer like Costa Rica or Thailand....??

That’s an absolutely idiotic article.
Peskov is a fucking asshole who lies constantly. But he is right in this case. Reuters has misinterpreted what he said and the situation in general.
The UKR nuclear weapons aren’t sitting in a warehouse somewhere! UKR is considering making NEW - and likely much better - nukes, not getting back the old ones. It might take them a very short time since a lot of the original soviet weapon work was done there. They have the practical experience, the tech and the raw material.

This is the problem with mass media. Good writers get laid off, articles have to be chopped down for reader's miniscule attention spans.
Now we get stupid articles like this written by people with a deadline and no understanding of the subject.

UKR is considering making NEW - and likely much better - nukes, not getting back the old ones. It might take them a very short time since a lot of the original soviet weapon work was done there. They have the practical experience, the tech and the raw material.

Apparently they don't have weapons grade fissile material:

At the end of the day, this is almost equivalent to genocide to a country/population and it will take decades to recover, if recoverable. The good example is Vietnam which as a country, went through almost a full century of war with the American War being the most cruel and sad. It killed off most of the young men and that's why the women to men ratio nowadays is still almost 5:1. Then there is the Agent Orange that is still affecting people with a few more generations to come and UXO/mines in fields and forests that still maim so many innocent people to these days. Of course, the US just sent Ukraine tons of Anti-personnel mines! This is history repeating itself, why people not learning from it! It's laughable when they are preaching and talking about humanity!!!

i'm afraid that the western international security community has planned this from the beginning. Russia could have been kicked out of Ukraine in days given NATO might. but then Putin would have remained politically strong and the Russian economy would have escaped any bad effects. the plan is for Putin to die a slow death. the cost is many Ukrainian lives.

Putin has Trump in office now so the fight will rage on. Trump will attempt to pull out of NATO and reduce Russian economic sanctions but i don't expect much traditional GOP support. we'll see if he can make it happen as quickly as it needs to to support Russia in the war.

as for nukes, i don't suspect anyone doing that at the moment.

its all so fucked up because of the egos of tyrants. there is no winning for Putin. if the Ukraine front line falls there will be 10s of millions of Ukrainian refugees flood into Europe. Russia will have a decades long insurgency that would make historical insurgencies look like childrens birthday parties. economic sanctions are probably here to stay for the Russian people until they have a change in power. Russia is fucked and i don't think Trump will be able to save them.

In the 70s NATO and Soviet doctrine was Euro war would last days, maybe weeks at most.
“Come as you are war” it was called.
You can’t crank out Cobra helicopters like Spitfires.
And trans Atlantic resupply would be impossible.
So large stocks were not maintained. We thought everything would be used up right away and for better or worse the war would be over.
We all figured if the Red Army came through the Fulda Gap we’d all die by the afternoon.
