No matter what you say about the person approaching Mr Singh, I have to say Mr Singh handled it very well. If I remember, he had a similar situation when a woman started to scream at him during one of his rallies/speeches.

There will always be someone out there being an idiot.

It was to be expected since this sort racism is a generational thing where these comments were the accepted social norm in some areas. I’ve seen it in rural areas in BC, Alberta and in Ontario. Just makes you shake your head since saying anything just won’t register with these types.

Props to Singh for taking the high road and staying positive throughout their conversation.

norms, generational thing, you mean like accepting a guy who likes to dress up like Singh in the 2000's, late 90's?

or

Black people?

the Liberals main support is in the Urban area, so how do you explain that?

cause they aren't inbreed like those you suggest don't like Singh, right?

yeah, just makes your head spin when you see those city slickers can't see reason :sorrow:

Maybe the people from Quebec have it right. No Religious icons at work. Why or Why not?
Look I believe people can have their own lifestyle, religion or whatever; but sometimes I think they wear things to separate themselves from other people. This puts the spotlight on them. For the religious items can be an outward sign of their faith. Do people need to see this stuff at work?
Look at all the controversy in the past 40 years since the Canadian Charter of Rights. The biggest thing it has done is offset dress-codes in the workplace; now exceptions have to be made for everyone. it seems there are no standards anymore, people of religious background just do what they want and claim the priviledge of their Rights.... How is that fair to every one else in the workplace....
And please don't tell me these people, who use their religious and personnal crap, don't use it at all to get out of things at work. This is what makes the other people at work the most irritated by these people claiming their priviledges.

For now the pendulum is swung one way. In Quebec it has swung another.

Personally I think that old man was being a dick head, but he whispered loud enough for a camera to record it? set up? probally not.

The military haircut set the members of the military apart from the rest of Canadian society who in the 80's had generally long hair and bangs....The short hair was for cleanliness on campaign, to protect the men from lice etc.

Meh. Not a fan of being told what to do, but not a fan of this man either.

I prefer being naked...but likely someone would be bitching at me if I was to walk around naked...so where does the individual freedom end?

He is free too represent himself how sees fit......touch this cowboys hat, and you forfeit your rights to safety and good health.
The Turban for his beliefs is a symbol of authority and honour....they are the lance and shield of their people.

Many Sikhs have fought and died for Canada and the Empire, while wearing turbans.

I don't see why anyone gets so bothered by them. White people wear lots of stupid shit.

If you put Angel and I naked standing next to each other....with good lighting, in about 20 seconds I'd have a good place to hang my hat.
Huh....too much time with the cows buddy...Angel has a great rack, and it's not a hat rack...10 gallon or beanie ? :drum:
