I am watching the game against Montreal and wondering there is no way this team will reach the Stanley cup this year. I can't believe they are losing 3:1! They are missing toughness and consistency this year. How far do you think Canucks will go this year? Even playoff?

Every team in the west has been streaky. Minnesota isn't going to win the west.
Chicago, Detroit, Sanjose, and the Canucks are all within 3-4 points of each other.
Which ever team out of those 4, that is playing their best in April-May will represent the West.

I think losing 3-1 after 2 periods, after a 8-2 stretch, is a little extreme to write the team off.
A little silly actually.
But you know that too, don't you ;)

I agree with you, but am very frustrated. This team is lacking the intensity that has pushed the team to the Stanley cup last year. I just hope to see the Canucks to win the Stanley cup in my lifetime.

If they make the final this year...which I highly doubt...they will just lose to Boston again...so why bother...

I hope they dont make the finals. God forbid another riot rip the city down. I've only been once for the indy and was too drunk to remember anything. Want an actual visit to that city.

The nucks making the finals are as likely as them coming back from the 3-0 deficit tonight.

Evan though I`m a longtime Canuck fan, I have my doubts. I don`t think we can win with Roberto and the twins. Their games are more geared for the regular season rather than the high intensity playoff game

It ain't over until the fat lady sings.

I guess I do concur with Hoops probability in the above post that Canucks will make it to the Stanley Cup. Of course against my other favorite which is the Flyers. ;)

Why would you make that comment after they won ?? Unless your wanting to say that they will go onto the grande stage again ;)
Bingo!
I want the canucks to go all the way for sure and they do have a solid chance, however, if I was betting then I'd bet against it.
There are too many things/injuries that can go wrong to make it two yrs in a row.
We do have a solid chance, but to rely on Salo in our top four is our achilles heel, not our lack of size and toughness.
Altho, Gillis will surely address both issues. I hope.

What kills the Canucks in the playoffs IMHO is injuries first, and Luongo second. Too many injuries hurt Vancouver's chances against Boston. The year before the Defence was decimated and yet they still took Chicago to 6 games. Can't remember the other year but I'm sure injuries played a big part as well.
