Really Weird Comments

The other day I was recalling an incident that happened to me a number of years ago that made me just wonder WTF?

I overheard a conversation between two women I worked with (I shared a cubicle with one). They were both intelligent, well educated women. The one was probably in her early 30's and grew up in a middle class environment (her father was a CA). She said to the other one, "I only date men who earn more money than me, because I need someone who can stimulated me intellectually." (SAY WHAT???)

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She equated income with intelligence.

Has anyone else heard statements from intelligent people that just made you scratch you head?

I was browsing, and your question made me think..so I thought i'd put in my two bits. First off they say that your "eq" not your "iq" measures your success in life, money, etc. I agree with this, intelligence helps you in many areas, but your "eq" or emotional quotient was what they found those who succeed all have, ..the best example of this or definition is the "old soul" ..and as far as smart people saying dumb things, the first thing that came to mind..was in my business dealing with an american engineer that asked if we use the euro in canada...cheers
