Last Saturday I walked 9 hours from New Westminster to Metrotown. Metrotown past Brentwood to Hastings Street. Hastings to Lougheed Mall at North Road. Lougheed Mall back to New Westminster. Plus a half hour stop for a lunch that I brought along. Estimated 36 kilometres.
Think of all the incalls that you missed. A total WOT, if you ask me.

Started doing long walks during the transit strike of 1988 that lasted longer than the 4.5 months in 2001. Stayed in shape for long walks all over the Lower Mainland ever since, Grouse Grind and back down one of 3 trails, 3 hours to the bus stop at Mountain Highway. Wreak Beach, Pacific Rim Park, Spanish Banks, Burnaby Mountain, Barnet Marine Park, Capilano Canyon. Coquitlam River, Lynn Canyon, length of Buntzen Lake and over the hump for the view of Deep Cove, Baden-Powell Trail, through Cypress Bowel to Eagle's Bluff and on to the ferry terminal at Horseshoe Bay. the promenade beneath the SkyTrain, great stops at smaller parks for washroom and lunch such as Trout Lake, Deer Lake, Burnaby Lake, Hastings Park. Queens Park, Stanley Park. Wear out a cheap pair of shoes every year. When I lived in a hot high rise in the summer I'd go out when it cooled off about 8 P.M. and walk all night. I like knowing my way around the city. I love the greater Vancouver regional district. It's my home.

I do way too many sports, winter snow shoeing skiing or hiking summer time water sports 15k long distance paddle boarding on the ocean. During the week in the gym.
At one point I got tired of being in the gym and doing the same routine and you know what they say" you train the same you stay the same", so I really like to spice up my workout and do different thing.
I joined Crossfit and I got pretty obsessed with it. I have mixed feelings about it especially if you have a competitive personality, you are going to push yourself till you tear your muscle up for life.
I stopped after a year, got way too buffed and got a few injuries. I also realized that running is not for me then run back to swing the kathleen bell then do some muscle up and then thrusters while you can hardly breath then go outside and run another mile.
Now I'm back in the gym and doing my cardio in between my lifting sets. I still do some Crossfit moves what I learned but I don't go crazy to result with further injuries.
I do belive that we have to shock our body once in a while and switch our workout routine don't do the same thing daily.

Because diet is as important as exercise. Washboard abs are created in the kitchen not by doing crunches.
Well, I'll admit to going to my favourite restaurant, that most everyone has been dissing in this thread, during an emergency power outage in wind storm last week because it's the only place where I can get a 9-grain bun that you can't find at McDonalds or BurgerKing and I can see the ingredients going in that all look fresh. Years ago I used to get around to all the "all-you-can-eat" buffets in town but decide that was a WOT and pack my own lunches if I go anywhere. Oh, and I found a local webpage that listed the best reasonably priced restaurants in town (I don't have the webpage now since I haven't gone seriously to restaurants in years) and did that for a couple of years. What I eat now isn't too fancy looking and might look unappetizing to an onlooker but if you saw me prepare it you'd see that it's nearly all fresh, unprocessed nourishing fare. Except for the peanut butter that is processed because it's cheaper. Don't know off hand why some processed foods should be cheaper than unprocessed. Processed individually wrapped slices of cheese is another one that's cheaper by weight than chunks of cheese. Used to get the "Golden Boy" natural peanut butter that had oozed peanut oil to the top that was absolutely delicious and ate that straight out of the container with a fork and the oil would gradually settle toward the bottom to moisten the dry part because the oil is so much lighter than the peanut. But Golden Boy, for no apparent reason kept jacking the price up beyond anything you could imagine compared to anything else. Meanwhile, I realized that I could buy processed supermarket peanut butter cheaper than fresh roasted peanuts in the bulk food department of the same supermarket. Didn't like the processed at first. Didn't even seem to taste like peanut butter at first with all the peanut oil removed and replaced with a mix of rapeseed oil (canola) and soy oil along with icing sugar. But I acquired a taste for that and really enjoy that now at the reasonable price. Got the "crunchy" peanut butter that I love crushing between my teeth.

I have been getting great progress following Nsunz 5,3,1 linear progression program. 4 days a week, two upper with a focus on bench and two lower with squats and deadlifts. Should be at 300lbs bench by the end of the year hopefully :)

Long term goal is to turn into a t-rex that can rep 405 for squats

well for the past few months, its been lifting frying pans, and then a fork. Mixed up with the pool & long walks. I like to cook and eat, so its been a win win. I had an injury ( cat tripped me off of my bed onto the hardwood ) which prevented me from using my favouite machine--- the treadmill. I love the feeling after a run & I'm in the clear now to start doing it again, but I have to slowly build myself back up. I suppose sexercising also counts right ??? ;) I kind of enjoy that routine as well.

sexercise counts, but don't forget that treadmill. It seems to provide much better cardio :D
