From a strictly financial perspective, I would view it as having enough invested in secured areas to generate an income, which after taxes, allowed you to carry on the lifestlye you are accustomed to - while never dipping into your principal.

To me rich is doing whatever you want, whenever you want, with whomever you want, wherever you want and not having to worry about the bill at the end of the day.

Totally different than what most people described here......

Rich to me really is quite simple, someone who is completely and FULLY healthy. A person who is physically, emotionally, mentally and spirtually balanced.

I mean yes what some people said can be defined as a form of "rich", however at the end of the day, your health and mental state is the only thing that really matters. A person can have a shit load of money and never have to work another day in their life, but if they are bed ridden and sick every day or mentally ill etc...then all the money in the world doesn't mean a thing, if they can't actually enjoy it.

If you don't have to live paycheque to paycheque, and can do whatever you want - i.e. go on trips, have a cabin, etc - I consider you to be rich...

Speaking strictly from a financial aspect, I think you're rich if you have a high income and made some astute investments but you're not stupid with your money. Too many people strike it rich and then lose it all in no time because they don't learn how to manage their own finances.
