Awesome chest of drawers
You know, just browsing the freebie section, I have to wonder how people can justify throwing away/giving away stuff like this? Look at the quality of grain on that baby? I'm betting that the carriage design for the pull out drawers is of decent quality as well...something like that is well worth putting some re work into.
If I had the space, and a pickup, I'm be on that like a fat kid on smarties. A little WD40 for the metal parts, sand paper for the wooden parts...and alot of polisher... man, that's a beauty piece of real furniture right there.
So what do all of you think? Has our day and age of Ikea like rip offs blinded us to quality furniture?
I've often thought that you could make a bundle off refurbishing alot of real wood items that people either sell cheap or try to give away. People pay dearly for items that are actually wood, not just cheap particle board (I know it's what I want in MY house). So why are people so crazy to move onto the cheap assed stuff?
