Worst Movies Ever

Stand by Me and Shawshank Redemption are 2 other successful King movies. Worst movie ever? Get Carter with Sylvester Stallone.
Oh yes. Actually, Shawshank Redemption IS one good King movie I liked. I stand corrected on the "all Stephen King movies suck" comment.

What about Pet Cemetary... I don't know about you, every time I see that movie, it STILL gives me the creeps and shivers... especially if it's raining late at night and you're watching it with all the lights off.

A small reflection of some of my more painful movie experiences:

Judge Dredd
Anything with Jean Claude Van Damme
Starshit Troopers (I sooo wanted the bugs to win and end the suffering)
Battlefield Earth (more suffering...)
The Postman (I know its been mentioned but holy fuck did that suck)
Highlander II - IV (Christopher Lambert... who did that guy suck off?)
Last Action Hero
Scooby Doo
Cabin Fever (they all deserved to die, where's Ash and his chainsaw when you need him)
Johnny Mnemonic

... the really sad part is that the list could go on forever as a steady stream of refuse emanates from the sphincters of hollywood to the big screen and or video.

On an up note... I thought this one would suck but it turned out to be my all time favourite: Bubba Ho-tep. Brilliant!

I have seen many, many bad movies in my time, but without a doubt the absolutely worst movie ever made was The Gauntlet. Pure trash on so many levels. Written by, directed by and starring Clint Eastwood (what do you expect from a guy that made an entire career out of an ability to sneer). I think Eastwood was trying to see if he could produce a movie with a million rounds of ammo be fired. He also found an actress whose acting was actually worse than his. The movie had this ability to keep getting progressively worse. The final scene was incredible. About a thousand cops lining both sides of a street and firing hundreds of rounds (each) of ammo at a bus driven by Eastwood. (Not one cop gets hit by a stray bullet). Then, after Eastwood gets to where he is trying to go, he is surrounded by a hundred cops, shoots the police commissioner, and walks away. Not one cop thinks of perhaps arresting him.

Trash, garbage, crap and pure shit. (Okay I'm being redundant)

Piece of Canadian trash titled Cannibal Girls (1973) starring Second City's Eugene Levy and Andrea Martin. Still finds its way on CityTV or Space Channel occasionally.

Here are a few of the worst I've seen:

Van Helsing (Kate Beckinsale looked hot but even that couldn't save this piece of shit)
House of the Dead (Uwe Boll, the Ed Wood of our Generation)
Deep Impact
Cabin Fever (Pancakes???)
Catwoman
The Village (I guessed the twist ending before the movie started)

Pearl Harbor. It seemed like every moment was filled with patriotic cliches said in an over the top dramatic manner. The movie was too much like a WW2 propaganda film and no where near enough of a historical-dramatic look at one of history's biggest events.

Battle of the Bulge. Another Hollywood miscue on WW2.

Star Trek IV, The Voyage Home. Too much comic relief and sterotyping. A downright silly movie.

Almost each and every porn movie. But then we don't watch those for good acting, just good money shots.

Castaway, with Tom Hanks. Nothing screems crap like two hours of watching a grossly over paid actor talk to a vollyball.

Fubar, Filmed in Calgary. Two Skids making their way thru life like ... well skids. best described as pathetic.

Napolean Dynamite. Pretty much sums up why paying to go see a movie in a theater is just a waste of money.
