Who's more over-rated: Dan Cloutier or Luongo?

I had to mention Dan, most of the bandwagons here wouldn't even know his first name, let alone the last name, for those bandwagons who just started to watch hockey this year ;)

No doubt Luongo has more talent than Dan. But if any bandwagon can clear his head, once Cloutier was nominated for the Vezina one year, and had 3 straight 30 plus win seasons, one would have thought we had the next Patrick Roy ;)

He made less than Luongo's $7.5 OVERINFLATED salary, so that's where I'm coming from: more talent yet a disproportionate salary, even worse???

Just seems an ugly trend in this Nucks franchise of poor mismanagement. We can all thank a desperate, home boy dink like Nonis to try to impress Vancouverites with one of the most sickening displays of throwing $$$ down the gutter.

Remember, the Nucks were making a ton of $$$ already: with season tickets maxed out, all advertising venues booked years in advance, all it takes is a local, westcoast show off to ruin our ability to trade Luongo. His salary next year in a declining cap will prove Gillis' undoing!

To say he didn't know what he was doing when Nonis gave away the farm, yup, typical nucks mismanagement...

What a nice day we had today. In fact this past weekend was without a doubt the best one we've had all year. Hopefully next weekend will be as good, your thoughts on the beautiful weather we've been having??
I was thinking about a new summer wardrobe, any suggestions on where to shop ?:)

No kidding, so was I! :p Amazing weather, so it is time to update the wardrobe, isn't it? I think I'll head down to Seattle this weekend, catch some bands and get some new clothes. Capital idea, G!

Definitely Seattle Premium Outlets is not a bad place to start if you're heading South. I hear that BC has been dumping its garbage down south. Do you have space to take a bag or two?

The Memorial day sale is already over, so much of the good stuff is probably gone and whatever that's left is back to near original price.

But then "original" price is still relatively cheap anyways:cool:

bjh,

we regret to inform you that the canucks season is over, nothing said here will be read by canuck's upper management, and all the trashing on perb isn't going to change much.

but to answer your question cloutier was more over rated. he had a decent team in front of him, not only that but the teams we played didn't have the calibre they do now. sure there was colorado and detroit but an aging yzerman and a semi healthy forsberg weren't the same thing as the speedy kane, talented ovechkin, or whining but consistent crosby.

you're basing your discontent of luongo on lack of playoff performance and the fact that they were ousted in the second round, but along the same lines washington was ousted in the second round. should we say ovechkin should be traded because he underperformed in game 7?

don't get me wrong, i agree that the canucks need overhauling and speed, but luongo isn't the only problem and shouldn't be the scapegoat for all the blunders. the problem is that when he sees nobody else helping his morale goes down and so does the nucks season.

Today is really nice too, it always amazes me how the leaves seem to appear overnight. This week is shaping up nice and I will even get to meet the Beautiful lady from your fair city. Hope I don't act like a knucklehead, I have the City of Champions reputation to uphold. :)

Canadian dollar is just shy of 90cents too! Great time for US shopping again :) I hope it stays around this mark... anything higher will screw us over!

Very valid point.......Only downside is when I kick ass in Vegas, I won't get all the extra gravy when i exchange it back to Canadian. Oh well, a small price to pay ;)
I just sit on it until the US$ comes up again or use it for future trips to the US and abroad.

I hear you dude, but the major difference is the contract situations. Ovie's locked up for life there; Bobby's got a year left, so get something for him while we can.

Obviously, he's the reason why the Nucks are even alive, given the franchise a jolt after that friggin, lame o european nazzie captain. But i haven't seen bobby win the 'big one', he's had his chances.

Hockey's a business, it's all about winning cups. I dont care for division champs, those are for the bandwagons to get excited about.

Should have been traded to Montreal for a bagel while they had the chance. To be fair for all, a day old bagel. And Jovo signed and made captain.
dude, if you thought Nastylund had problems dealing w/ the Canuck media here, imagine in Montreal. He'd be so burnt and booed out of the Bell Centre, he'd wish he stayed in Pittsburgh!

This moronic captain has no place in Montreal or even a big city like New York. No wonder he quit, maybe he should've have quit on that ghost-like check by Moore, then none of this would've happened, eh?

Jovo all the way for captain, you've got my vote! maybe we can trade the sedin sissies and let them rot in the hot phoenix desert, & hopefully no one will ever find them...
