Who do you want the Canucks to play in the first round? SJ, LA, or Phoenix?

Personally, I think the Canucks can beat all three of these teams but...but...I think SJ will be the most entertaining series. Phoenix is a just an all around boring team...and LA is so tight ...both of these series would be very dull. Maybe the worst 1st round series in the NHL.

However, the Canucks and SJ hate each other and SJ has a good scoring punch to them and they don't play a trap boring system. Not to mention the history from just last year...

I am going with SJ vs Canucks.

Also, I could careless if the Canucks finish 1st or 2nd in the conference.

I prefer LA or Phoenix to give them more time to recover for second round and probably endure less physical play.

of the 3, I would say Coyotes will provide the tougher match.
won't necessarily make for run and gun hockey but will serve VC well moving forward.
Canucks in 6.

I prefer the LA Kings as the last name of the latter's goalie describes its exit against the President Trophy winners. ;)

LA is the easiest. Only problem is quick.
Sanjose still has all the parts of an elite team, and are tougher.
What a nice finish over the oilers, thought they would have played harder tonight as spoilers

LA plays a low scoring style and the 'Nucks aren't scoring currently so that worries me. Quick's 10 SO's this season worry me. Lui being Louie no luck worries me.
LA isn't as soft as you seem to think. they bang pretty good. Not in SJ or Philly or Boston's league but they do their fair share of banging.

all that said Vancouver should beat LA in 5-6 games.

You have to consider, LA cant score at all. Its a good chance to give both goalies some work.
I say unless Lou gets a shutout or 1 goal, win of lose the game, play Corey next game.
Let him play 2 and 4.

Benching him for the next 2-3 weeks, then maybe bringing him into a do or die game, when the team just had a bad loss.....not the best way for him to get some playoff experience.

Wow the prices for tickets are low in LA.....here nosebleeds look to be in the $150-$200 range. Tickets are starting at $50 down there.
I say there will be a lot of people flying down for 3-4. $422 flying from Vancouver.
