When Your Born an Asshole...Karma Can be a Real Bitch

So I have this neighbor, that only comes up to his 19 acre property once or twice a year, and digs holes, cuts trees, rips down fencelines, and is just a general pain in the ass.
Now I understand when he makes the 5 hour drive from Vancouver, he needs to blow off some steam, and it is his property...But it seems he takes issue with me, and figures I don't need so much space.
He figured that the fenceline bordering our properties was wrong....And he's right, but not in his favour.
He has dug holes and cut trees down to build a cabin for himself...And I was quiet about it. Knowing all along that he was destroying my property.
He took issue with the improper fence line, and figured my horses and cows were on his place..Allright fine, just leave me alone, but he couldn't.
So he ripped down the fence, then complained about my stock on his place.
So I put the fence back up.
His Lawyer sent me a piece of paper that said he was going to have it surveyed..Allright fine.
Then his lawyer sent me another paper saying that he was going to sue me for trespassing, and some other shit about backpaying farmland lease for his grass...Allright fine.
So the surveyors came out yesterday......It seems that the fence is wrong, which I never disputed.
He lost 8 acres of land in my favour..His driveway, well, and tool shed, it seems I also own, due to their locations....Oh, and he cut down my trees to build his cabin.
When a good natured Cowboy doesn't want to move a fence...Maybe he's doing you a favour, and when you push the issue, and his buttons ,through some downtown Lawyer, who has never seen a real Ranch......Karma can be a real bitch.
I chainsawed the opening in the toolshed today......My 75 horse John Deere fits in there just right.

I'm always telling people they need to get along with their neighbors & if you are thinking about doing anything on your property to get it surveyed.
Surveyors do a lot more than just mark property lines, they review titles, deal with local gov. Etc. pretty cheap insurance if you ask me.
Well at least the boundary didn't go the other way. And by the way, I hope the surveyors set , or found, iron posts at either end, since they are not suppose to mark a boundary without them

Lol.......that is so wonderful! Too fucking stupid to check and be a good neighbour. Congrats on your new shed. Hope you get compensated for the fence.....lol

Yep they found all the iron posts..Which I pointed out to him 8 years ago. It seems that his straight line he eyed up, had a curve in it.
As for having some fun with him....He may not be in too playful a mood when he lays eyes on his "new" property line, that he had surveyed..Not to mention my new tool shed.
I figure I'll allow the well, as it's not in my nature to cut anyone off from water.
To be honest, I really don't have the time to deal with fencing it, which is why I was more than willing to leave it like it was in the first place.
He just labeled me mentally as an asshole because I'm a large land owner, and figured he'd put the crosshairs on the back of my head.
He never figured I'd eventually double back on him, using his own behaviour against him.

He ripped the old fence down, he gets to pay for putting the new one up. Assholes think they have won if you give them an inch. Since he probably stated in the documents that his lawyer used to get the survey, the court will have to order him to replace the fence in it's new location.

I am considering lining 200 feet of that fence with pig pens and filling them up with hogs.....And supplying them with lots of water from his well.
He came up today for a meeting about what we are going to do with the property line...When I said "I tried to tell you"....I didn't think it was possible for a human being to turn that shade of blue.

as time allows, plant a row of seedlings along the surveyed fence line so they will grow in as a solid hedge of sorts - except 40 feet high!
