What's the diff: escort, ho, hooker, prostitute ...

The final act is the same, is it how they play the game or what ....?

Personally, I prefer the term "escort" though for reasons of discretion, spending time outside of closed doors with "other" women hasn't and will probably never happen.

It's funny. Some girls can call themselves some terms but not other, synonymous ones. Most escorts I've met don't escort many clients anywhere except from the entry to the bedroom.

"I'm not a whore! I'm a call girl, and there's a difference, y'know!" [Alabama from "True Romance"]

Respect

I was brought up to respect people. I find many descriptions very demeaning.

Therefore any time I spend with the ladies providing services for me is done with respect. Any references made regarding my reviews, I will use their name wherever possible but never call them down by using some of the discriptions used for their profession.

I believe this attitude goes a long way to making any session comfortable and enjoyable for both of us. YMMV

Yes, they ll provide the same service but the quality can certainly vary. I give the ladies I see the utmost respect. What goes around comes:)p ) around

It's a false form of respect/flattery. The idea that some types of prostitutes are inherently better than others is a degrading and hypocritical conceit.

There was an excellent post on this earlier, and even one of the more self-possessed escorts conceded in the end that there was no difference.

Not sure if this comment is directed to me or a general statement, but for me I would like to believe I have never insulted any SP in any way. Whether by description or action.

That is what I mean by respect. Doesn't matter to me what anyone does, we all deserve respect until we do something to change people's attitude towards us.

And yes some escorts don't care what they are called, so I can respect that. They just won't hear it form me first.

It is directed towards you.

Your statement sounds so cliche and judgemental, even comically boastful. "Ladies, I respect you because I cater to your insecurities. I get better service because I'm an aqua velva man."

This can't sound anything but insincere. I don't buy either that you are more respectful of SP's than Hatrick, or that you get better service.

That's not meant as an insult, so please, no chest thumping. Like Ava said, we're all the same here.

No Problem, you are intitled to your opinion.

One thing I can assure you is that you will never know if I am sincere or not. My time is spent with the ladies and they are the people who will be the judge for that.

And by the way I never said I was more respectful of SP's then Hatrick. I said I was respectful to all people, and quite enjoy his contribution to Perb.

And for the record I am an "Aqua Vulva Man".

Have a great Day!

I can only judge the words, not the person.

What you did was a kind of rhetorical reverse-ad hominem: you praised yourself!

The question was "What is the difference?"

Rather than saying, "People who use the words 'ho', 'hooker', or 'whore' to describe prostitutes are disrespectful," you instead offered, "Respect. I was raised to respect people...[because I am respectful, I never use such demeaning words. Because I am so respectful, the service I receive shows.]"

I didn't refer to people who use the words as "disrespectful".

I have seen how people use those descriptions and most times they are meant to be hurtful.

If I meet up with someone who refers to themsleves in that way, then I am comfortable with that. I won't start off that way.

It's like walking up to a black person and saying "hey what's up boy" You might regret that. So I just prefer to stay away from those situations.

To this day, I find them harsh to use to describe anyone. There are many other terms that I avoid too.

Maybe it comes from being in sales, but you don't win any brownie points by using what I call rejection words. Just starts off everything on a neagtive spin.

But.....
Thanks for your insight.

My opinion is that people who call SP's Ho, Whore, Hooker, etc. is that their intent is to be disrespectful. People who aren't in the hobbyist world most certainly regard those words as such.

I still like this one the best. Well said GA, just like in my reviews the
ladies are referred to by name, as SP or escort.

There's no reason in my opinion to go flogging them with the other type
of name/names. It's called mutual respect for other human beings regardless of there profession.

There is absolutely no difference between the terms, a woman that will trade $$$ for sex is a ho/hooker/escort/callgirl/sp. It absolutely makes no difference. If a woman was not a working girl she'd be equally offended if she was called any of the name since its both not her profession and she views all as degrading. I would also be offended if you called me gay, homosexual or a fag equally because I'm not.

I tip my hat to Avarice for being honest with herself in her input on the topic, I've seen many girls on this board take a holier than thou position on a girl that works a corner simply because they work the corner of craiglist!

Right. It's just spin.

Hooker = escort = prostitute

The words are different. The definitions and the set of people defined by each are identical. The difference lies in the connotations of the words.

I like a girl who can see through the BS. Own the goddamn words! "Hooker" is sexual, earthy language. "Whore," raw and erotic for a woman in the right mood.

I love sluts. Hot, dirty little cumsluts make me happy. More than intimate sessions with sophisticated, elegant courtesans. If I can't say that on Pussy Central, GWB, launch the missile now.

Sorry, rant mode off. :)

If so, feel free to call me a hooker:)
Works for me, and that's basically all I've been saying from the get go. Once the grounds are established, then everything will go in a positive direction.

But don't call me John because I might think you are talking to someone else. Trick is ok.

I don't know what you're talking about.. I have a street not a corner! :p

No difference other than some of the terms are degrading. We use our sexuality and good looks (those of us who have good looks..haha) to make money. We trade sexuality for currency..it doesn't matter where you 'work', who you 'work' for, what 'services' you offer...ect. The bottom line is sex for $$ = Hooker, Ho, SP, Prostitute.

No one SP is better than the next simply because she may work on her 'online' corner and the other works on an actual corner.
