What the f*&k is with the Brandi's?

Yo gents,

I had a very unpleasant experience with the Brandi's tonight. Me and my boyz were taking advantage of our ladies out of town and what not ... and decided to go and see some boobies!! So off to Brandi's we went ... and the bouncers acted like they ruled the universe or some shit! They told us either to give them 20 bucks or wait in line for 30 minutes. Me and my boys were none too pleased with their shitty attitude and decided to wait in line and watched their small TVs instead. So 45 minutes after we asked the bouncer dude when we could get in and they told us we still had to wait for 30 minutes more?? What the fu*k?? I swear we were decent looking bunch of guys (heck ... I even wore my dress pants and my nicely shined Kenneth Cole) and we still got treated like that?? If they are looking to make some extra $$ by charging extra for the cover charge ... I say more power to them. But don't deliberately try to gouch us and piss us off!! By the time we left we were at the front of the line because those poor bastards in front of us all left in disgust!! So off to Cecil we went and we ended up having a great time.

Just need to get this off my chest...don't let the Ben Affleck story fool you folks.

By the way, those $20 you give the bouncers don't go the Brandi's. They go straight to the fucking bouncer's pockets. Just so you know.

why the fuck did you even bother....by just going back in the line, you basically let that guy fuck you in the ass. He had just told you that you weren't good enough to get in....and you just took it.

Fuck it man - tell him to stuff it where the sun don't shine, take your buddies, your money, and go somewhere else.

Because we genuinely didn't know ... we actually thought that we would get in after 30 minutes. And as soon as he knew otherwise we took off. I agree that people should never spend money at places where they are treated like shit, and we didn't. I am just here to let our people know so they won't waste the 30 minutes that we wasted.

It's easy to huff and puff while sitting in front of a computer. Me and my boyz are a calm cool bunch going out for a good time ... not to pick fight with some hells angels lookalike. We all have 9 to 5 jobs and can't afford to go back to work on Monday with a shiner (or not being able to go back to work at all for that matter).

You & your boyz did the right thing in leaving. Those bouncers there are pretty selective. I went there one night with a close buddy who was into those scenes. They treated us like gold that night. I went there a few weekends later with some other friends and we received the same shabby treatment you got.

Definitely take your complaint to the management. It is something they should be aware of. It's funny I walk pass the area all the time and I have yet to go inside Brandi's to spend money. I guess I won't be doing that then. Let us know what happens if you do decide to report this incident to the management level.

They have a serious racket going there. They pull that 365 days a year. With more people you can sometimes negotiate if you don't act pissed off, but that can be seriously difficult not to do. It's not worth it there anyway.

Thank goodness that I got my fill of Brandi's in 1999/2000. Back then there was no line-up to get in, no bouncer outside, and all you paid was $2 for coat-check to get in.

The bouncers at Brandy's are a bunch of moronic assholes. I went there with a group of friends, there were men and women in our group. The bouncers told us the ladies could go right up but us guys would have to wait a few minutes before we could go up. We ended up standing there for about 30 minutes while the bouncers continually let people they knew go in. The ladies in our group finally got tired of waiting for us after about 30 minutes and came looking for us and we all left. This happened a couple of years ago and I haven't been back. I won't spend my $$ in a business that operates like that.

The bouncers want $20, somebody should give them $20 in pennies rammed up their ass.

Vancouver's strip joints SUCK. The NBI, way back when they had features/porn stars, was good, as was the Sport, the Met, and the Penthouse after midnight or so. After living in Toronto and experiencing the $5 per song table dances in the early 90's, and trips to Montreal, Niagara Falls, Ottawa (yeah Bare Fax), and Gatineau, it was impossible to come back to the shit passing for a strip scene here. My only saving grace was knowing one of DJs at the NBI and the resulting 2AM BBQ's at my place with the night shift! Oh yeah....
