The reality is that the police are limited when faced with a investigation into a missing street walker.
Most of the time no one knows a girl has gone missing or if she even is missing or maybe just went to another part of town or another town.
Back in the day when Edmonton had more girls working the streets I remember a few mentioning they were out here from Vancouver. Do you think they informed many people that they had gone to another city? or do they just pack up and go as they live a life style where doing such is not complicated as it would be for you or me.

If a nurse goes missing odds are people will notice when she is not home on time or misses her next shift at work.
A girl living and working the streets wont be noticed for several days maybe, if she even is noticed.
Its just reality that SWs are the easiest pray for a person who is looking to kill a stranger, I mean when was the last time you jumped into a vehicle of a complete stranger?

When you say no one feels sympathy for SWs who are beaten or killed its like when we watch videos of a kid doing a rail slide on a skate board online and seriously hurting himself, we all think "the idiot knew what he was doing". However if we were there in person we would rush to his aid and try to help him, however since we are removed from the event and the person, we judge.
When you say a fireman dies and we feel sorry for the fireman, well the fireman was running into a burning building to save lives, not jumping into a van to suck dick for cash, regardless of if the person was going to spend the money on food (go to the food bank) or most likely crack.
There will never be a time when society looks fondly upon women who sell sex, hell there will never be a time when society looks fondly on men who buy sex, that is reality.
You need to learn to deal.

"Just Deal?"

First, the people on the streets DO actually have community. It might take a little longer to identify that they are missing, but they actually do have people in their network.

Second, at NO point in time should we ever "Just Deal." I take great offense to that, because these women didn't choose violence. Nor should we, as society, turn a blind eye and just deal. We NEED this to be in the public eye, if things are ever going to change.

I think you should "Just Deal" with my foot up your ass.

When Bad Santa and the other men who have posted in this thread proudly drive their daughters and wives to their next outcall session, proudly tell their friends and family that their little girl is a prostitute, then the profession will be accepted. Until then they are just a bunch of hypocrites trying to come across as internet heroes.

Off-topic.

(Uncleg....checking Sun now.)

The wonderful men that come and spend their time with us, in a completely honest exchange based on respect and communication...

these are NOT the men in question. I appreciate you guys A LOT.

FG, we are discussing serial killers here. NOT the integrity of pooners.

I understand your point that the industry as a whole can be questionable.

How do we fix it? Decriminalize.

The subjugation of women goes back to the beginning of time. That is what REALLY needs to get fixed. Let us be paid equally to men. Allow us the same opportunities in life as men, not shutting certain doors promoting the boys' only clubs.

Prostition is a result of subjugation. Not the other way around.

These women do not choose violence, however they did choose risk.
Thats what its about in the end, and that's how society judges others, what risks were you taking.
Did the smoker smoke 2 packs a day?
Did the adrenaline junkie decide to do a awesome back flip that left him dead when he failed to land it?
Did the fat guy eat tim hortons for breakfast, quiznos for lunch and then ordered take out for dinner?
Did the hooker decide to walk the streets at night and jump into random guys cars 3 or 4 times a night?

If you want to see what this forum really thinks of street walkers why don't you read all the threads where guys have tried to share info on street walkers and then other men and even more SPs will shout them down claiming they are running the risk of STDs by giving patronage to these diseased whores of the street. If a guy here says he did anything more than get a BJ from street walker he will be ripped a new one. For how dare anyone touch one of these disgusting whores and then visit one of our dear SPs and run the risk of infecting us all.
Its nice to see all the people step out and cry out to society for these poor lost women, but where were you when if maybe you had picked her up, she would of had enough money and gone home that night, instead of getting in mr picktons van?

Its called a "high risk lifestyle" for a reason, if it offends you that reality is not all golden delicious fluffy cotton candy, that's too bad.
Funny though for someone so concerned over violence your response to my sharing an opinion, A THOUGHT that you did not like was to wish to strike out against me violently.
Violence is always the path of the weak minded.

Firstly, Bobo, you`re absolutely right about me saying I`d like my foot to be up your ass. Violence should never be resorted to, and I was completely wrong (though some people would pay me for that).

Secondly, why would I pick up a SW? I don`t even drive.

Thirdly, doesn`t society help smokers that have lung cancer with surgery, chemo, radiation? Don`t we rescue those adrenaline junkies, causing others to risk their lives cuz some stupid skiier skiied out of the boundaries and caused an avalanche? Don`t we offer free gastric bypass, dietiticians, meals on wheels, and the like for those morbidly obese?

What about those disgusting whores? We just call them disgusting, and tell them that they chose that risky lifestyle? All the while watching the Province cut funding to help people in such need? (closing treatment centers, lowering funding to lower income people, making education only for the elite?)

I wish I lived in the cotton candy you speak of. I can assure you that I certainly wouldn`t be replying to this post, cuz I wouldn`t care.

I`m confused who you are angry with, in this post. Clearly, me, but the SWs`? The pooners that pick up SWs? The other SPs? Yourself?

However, you are right in the sense that I should not have written anything regarding violence. I kind of felt like it was as stupid a thing to say, as the point you were trying to make...that we should all just accept dead hookers....cuz they earned it.

Deal with it? I`d rather have my foot up your ass.

This is the last I will write to you. I`m going to start employing this fun ignore button:)

It's nice to see that your head is in the right place, what about your feet ? Have you ever attended any march or protest in support of sex trade workers ?
+100

Long on the sayings for certain.

What about the doings BS?

Anything there?
Uncleg, Ropey, you're both right. I should join marches in support of sex trade workers and so should you guys! That may be the best way to effect change. But we have to start talking about it first.

Bobo, for a guy who has received as much pleasure from so many great SPs over the years as you have, I just can't understand your attitude. That post is crass and obscene!

You know what, FloridaGuy, I don't have the priviledge of having a daughter. But if I had one and she decided as an adult of her own free will that she wants to take up this profession of giving pleasure, she should have the "right" to have society view it as an honorable occupation! Because in my view it is!

It's all the religious zealots out there who want to push this trade into the gutter but then turn around and partake of it secretly who are the "real" hypocrites!

I don't agree with that. Women are no longer subjugated in Western society. Women outnumber men, in the population, in academia, and in more and more places, in the workforce. They are paid equally - the days of a woman getting a lower hourly wage for the exact same job as a man are loooonnngggg gone. There is no glass ceiling anywhere. Anywhere. Its a shame some women still feel subjugated, however in the West that is generally due to her life choices, not to opportunities being closed off to her. Canada in particular has no impediments placed on women - you're equal here, and if you want to do as well as a guy, you can.
