" What is your ideal job" interview question

I think my favourite question would be, "so, when do you want to start?"

I have had versions of this two or three times. One time I was in the first interview and only realised part way through that they were in fact offering me the job.
The second one, I went through months of interviews and got exasperated about the process, and so finally said I would like the job, but needed to know whether it was worth continuing the succession of meetings.
The response was along the lines of "the job is yours. We were just waiting for you to ask for it."
