I texted the wrong SP that I had arrived. Fortunately she responded right away and I realized my mistake. Apologized for the error and told her that I hope to see her soon.
I use a separate phone for this hobby, so luckily I didn't send it to anyone in my regular world.

Intriguing idea. But then, your name is still registered to your pooning phone account, right? To some extent, it’s still discoverable. And expensive! Good luck!

I once switched a digit in the phone number by mistake. It was dude on the other side and he laughed and told me what I had done, by mistake.
Years ago, when chat rooms were hot, I had made scores of lady friends mainly for phone sex or cam sex etc. I messaged a newly made friend but I sent it to wrong lady by mistake and it was a big mistake. She was THE BEST at phone sex and she did not take it very well.

This scenario has Seinfeld (and or Curb Your Enthusiasm) written all over it. :ROFLMAO:

This is how I discovered my wife's friend was an escort. Her phone broke, so she gave my wife her 'work' phone number. My wife called one day, and got a voice mail message. Her rates and which hotels she does outcalls to. She asked me to listen to the message and see if I could figure out what this message meant. Oh boy was I excited. This friend was hot. But I never did see her professionally. Too close. She flashed me a few times when I went to her place with a cheeky smile, so I don't think the passing on of that contact information was accidental.

Many years back (this is email) I had queued up a note in my Outlook which I was using to make notes in the body of a pretty infuriating email I got from one of our company suppliers VP's. Asshat was inserting himself into a situation that he should have never been involved. Anyway, I f-ked up and sent that to him. Got a phone call shortly after ... not comfortable. Anyway I learned to put in a 1 minute delay in sending all business related emails. Has saved my ass many times.
Fast forward to text being part of everyone's communications and I had a few f-kups that also were uncomfortable, then discovered an app (Textra) that let me put in a delay. So now I have a 5 second delay in my text actually leaving my phone. As long as I am in the moment it gives me a chance to rethink what I just wrote. Has saved me more than the email thing did!

Great idea. Thanks for sharing. Does TEXTRA allow you to adjust the delay time? I think I would need more than 5 seconds.

I never have but I've heard similar stories and had similar fears (and have had work situations that I texted/emailed the wrong people!), so for any SW-related text, I always make sure the intro is innocuous, like "Hi my name is ____, is this ____? ". So if it goes to a wrong number, "Oh, I was just following up on an interview request for work. ---- sent in her resume and we were contacting her."
