I'm posting this because it reminded me of an incident several years ago. I saw this toddler and a mini-pincher walking down the side of the road. The dog was obviously protecting the little girl. I pulled over and the toddler couldn't tell me where her house was - however - the dog had a tag with a phone number. This was before Cellphones were common, so I piled girl and dog into the car and found a payphone. Phoned the number and the panicked mother told me where to bring her daughter.
