I heard that radio program while driving this evening. When the host asked, "Are there any political motives behind the possible move to impound the john's cars?", the Attorney General answered: "I'm sure that were we to get this passed into law, the government wouldn't have much problem with it. But to answer your question, there isn't much 'SIZZLE' politically speaking."
I don't know about you guys, but it sure seems like the Attorney General is acting more like a politician than someone who represents the Judicial interests of the province. I find his use of the word "Sizzle" a particularly interesting choice, as though to distance the real motive (political) behind this move - which he tried to imply was purely from the judiciary. In fact, the word "sizzle" in itself is precisely the reason for doing so; with the Pickton trial and the 2010 games, it is not just sizzling, it's burning and charred. What a terrible liar he is.
So interesting to catch the Attorney General on the public radio lying like a little girl. Whatever you guys think "should" happen with regard to the streetwalker/drugs issue, the case is already open and shut from the way the AG was talking - even though he kept insisting they are "studying" it, and "want to make sure it is the right move and protects the right people", and "perhaps previous studies were wrong", and "though it has been said it would drive the sex trade underground and the reasoning is that the prostitutes would be put further at risk, the prairie provinces show good results". I love hearing fake caution and consideration. Still ... I do wonder why the sudden change in heart? Eh?
