Visting Vic and need some advice

I'm planning to head out to Vic either this weekend or the coming weekend and wondering if anyone had any suggestions or recommendations on where to stay, what to do, who to see, etc. Would appreciate what ever advice and suggestions you may have.

What price range are you looking at for hotels? Swans is really nice I used to work there and the suites are really great the bar downstairs brews there own beer. Monty's strip club is right up the block. There is a local night club called social club right across the way its also close to Johnson street where some great botiques are i.e. devlish damzils, mysi and many many more! China town is a block away. Also one of my favorite places to eat canoe club is very close.

On the other side of down town, its more of a tourist place there is The Empress hotel its a lovely place to stay and they give business discounts if your travleing here on business. Its located down by the inner harbour which has beautiful sites of the ocean, close to the museum, wax museum and under sea gardens. Right across the road is Pescatories a great place to have wonderful sea food and they just opened up a oyster bar as well! The sticky wicket is right up the road and it has three bars in it the sticky wicket, big bad johns and Element night club,
