One has moneyIn these he-said she-said athlete-groupie scenarios...at the end of the day only 2 people know what did or did not happen.
Probably still has to deal with a civil suit,I'm thinking his NHL career is over. At the most he might get a professional try out by some nhl team, they'll discover the poor professional attitude that he had with the nucks and bury him in the ECHL.
That's a long commute 👍NHL career, yes, but he'll will probably end up playing in Europe.
Still has to go through civil court. That's where she'll be looking to get paid or settle out of court. My daddy always use to tell me" watch where you stick your dick son, because some day it's gonna come back and bite you in the ass"She was going for the easy money grab, playing the victim, and failed.
Justice was served for once.
Her story had more holes than Swiss cheese.
Agreed, she claimed that she didn't know he was an nhl player but I bet you that was probably the 1st thing out of Jake's mouth upon meeting her(besides the vomit)" do you know who I am?" Just another arrow in his quiver to slay the pussy. I don't feel sorry for Jake,as my daddy use to say "if you want to be a man at night, then you better be prepared to be a man in the morning " consequences..

OK, I'll be the sole dissenting voice here.
The jury's decision was quick, predictable, and a setback for all women.
The standard of conduct as set by high schools, colleges, and universities, basically anywhere that men and women come together, is "Ongoing Consent". Either side can say NO, STOP at any time and it must be accepted.
Based on the testimony of both sides, as reported, I'm comfortable concluding that she was an attractive, naive, 18 year old and he was a swashbuckling millionaire. After the usual flirting, he led her to his hotel room where she was completely ill-prepared for what came next.
At some point, many actually, she said NO, but she was overwhelmingly overpowered. He was drunk. She was crystal clear on rebuffing him. He acquiesced "She agreed using her actions."
There were plenty of mitigating circumstances, but they should have been saved for a sentencing hearing, not a trial.
The concept of Ongoing Consent is a good one and is necessary for the safety of anyone with a vagina.
Mr. Virtanen's jury delivered a timid verdict. Oh how I wish I was on it.

I'd like to know what other people think. I'm guessing the mods will let this thread live as long as nobody posts vitriolic attacks. So please, disagree with me without disembowelling me.

He should have waited til marriage, duh!!!🤣😅🤣😅Alright so the takeaway from all this is that Jake should have been sober, got himself a great provider, and he would be still raking in that heavy NHL dough.
