I was puzzled at first, and then thought she misread my text to mean I was stuck in Montreal and was cancelling. I sent a few other texts saying I was still on the way, but it was total radio silence from then on.
I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she was still reading my texts, but in hindsight she probably blocked me right she read that first text from Montreal, because I sent other texts and tried to call a few times to see if we were still on. But no, all comms were ignored. What made this even more frustrating was that my Montreal to Winnipeg flight was delayed by 90 minutes, so I really had rush to get ready when I finally got to my hotel, but as I added the 2 hours for this very thing I did make it on time and of course would have contacted her if I thought I'd be late.

She should have declined the appointment from the start instead of bailing on him. Not to mention he was communicating with her and updating her along his way.
I was upfront with my schedule and she accepted the booking. If she was unsure about it she could have said so right at the start. I knew there was a chance of flight delays, that’s why I mentioned where and when I was coming from in my first text and the reason I texted her at Montreal, to tell her everything was going smoothly in a situation that sometimes doesn’t. I assume she just saw the words “Montreal airport” and bailed. Guess I should have kept my mouth shut. I didn’t bombard her with texts the whole way (as implied) I sent about 3 or 4 after her last message to find out if we were still on, trying to get a more clear response. Then I called a few times 15 minutes before the booking time. I guess “i’ll try and sort something out” was her way of cancelling on me, but I think that could have been clearer, perhaps with an apology that she needed to change plans.
I think its unfair to Valerie to go on and on about this and assume things. We have only heard one side of the story. Its probably a simple miscommunication issue. I have seen Val a number of times and had no problems at all with any bookings. This is so out of character for her. She has her phone off and never checks it during a appointment.
I feel that it is fair, this is a review board and he expressed his opinion about her. Yes there are 2 sides to every story and I am sure that she is more then welcome to come and give us her side.
This weekend I had the absolute please of meeting this spectacular lady .

I booked on very short notice and was very pleasantly surprised at how accommodating she was even with a same day booking request.
Communication was great, prompt, clear, light and fun. Nothing but pure professional from the start.
